Aston Martin Racing News Feed

Gulf motorsports first race in the British took place tonight starting with qualifying at 8pm followed by the race which finished at 10pm. Our only and current lead Driver Adam Knight had a good shot at qualifying in a car that did not suit the track however he managed to qualify in 10th posistion. By the first corner he was up to 8th with a brilliant start however dan quickly retook the posistion. Adam Had a long battle for 9th place however nick finally got the jump on him in the pitstops staying out two laps longer. It was neck and neck out of the pitlane however knight dropped down to 10th posistion again where he would stay all the way up to the checkered flag. The team managed to secure a solid 66 points in its first race. Pictures to follow

A Major breakthrou has arrived as the Gulf motorsport team will now be entering a second car in the british GT champonship Which will be driven by shantzez. Hopefully together with our competitve lineup the team will see much success in this championship

Due to the current economic crisus Aston martin has decided to withdraw its cars from the grid as the benifits of racing did not outweight the negatives. They are still open to offers from teams however Gulf Motorsport Will be no longer running an Aston martin. Serveral tests have been conducted with a Nissan 350z and a Ferrari 360 and most recently an Audi R8

It has Been Confirmed that Atleast one of the cars that Gulf motorsport will be running for the rest of this season will be an audi R8 which was put through its paces today. Our lead driver Adam was in control of the car for todays testing and his thoughts were as follows:
"I Thought the car was really good today and to come out the box quicker than the aston without and tuning was a great supprize. Im sure this car will be much quicker with some tuning and hopefully at Mugello we can get fighting at the front"

The car begins the testing run early in the morning with team in suspence as to its overall pace

In a shock move aston martin has actualy bought out Gulf motorsport which is now being run under the name of Aston Martin racing. Both drivers are expected to continue with their contracts which run throughout the rest of the season. The new car was tested at mugello where the team were happy to see the good old aston back in their garage despite a new livelry
Adam is the first to get his hands on the new spec aston martin which has tried to focus more on grip rather than.......power?

For Road America, BTCC midfeilder Nicky will be driving the 27 Aston Martin Racing DB9. The first shakedown was very successful, i managed to increase the speed greatly while keeping front end grip in the corners.

Aston Martin Racing Debuted on the Track of mugello on the 11th of Jan with its finalized paint job however it didn make the cars any quicker as adam stumbled in qualifying and only managed to qualify 13th on the grid it was clearly going to be an exciting one. Adam got of to a good start and managed to jump up to 11th place by the first corner before beginning to chase down a stuggling Ianmr. After a few more laps the Aston martin driver out braked ian and flew round the outside of the porche in one of the best overtakes of the season however the 15 car wasnt able to pull away and there was an exchange of quick laps untill ian eventually fell of the track and into retirement with some sort of mechanical problem. Adam then began to come under pressure from AJzero before eventualy falling of the track himself and dropping down to 13th were the aston would eventualy finish.
All the cars will still very close after turn 1 and no Accidents!
