3rd TORA 24 Heures Du Mans, QUALIFYING INFO

Here is a brief run down on whats needed and the rules Series owner Richy has set out. Each session is a long session, and be patient with your times and finding space for your lap. The circuit is over 8 miles long, so it is possible.

Each qualifying session will be a 45 Minute session where everyone will take to the track. There may be practice lobbies open each night, but they will not be a part of the qualifying session. Once 45 minutes has elapsed, all competitors may finish their current lap, and then stop at the first corner for the lobby hosts to take down all times. Dirty times will be scored lower than Clean lap times.

So if you get a 3.35 dirty, and someone in the same class gets a 3.45 clean, he will be ABOVE you on the grid.

IMPORTANT
There is a new gamertag "MSA TORA TEC"
Please please PLEASE add this gamertag to your friends lists ASAP!! If you are not on any of the organisers friends list, this gamertag allows you to get your invites for qualifying, and for the race stints themselves. If your not on the MSA TORA TEC friends list, we can't invite you, and you won't get an invite!!!

Settings
- Collisions during all races will be on. Damage will be set to limited. TCS, Driving Line and Normal/Simulation Steering are the only allowed driving aids that may be used. ABS, STM, Auto-brake and Auto-gears are prohibited. Manual gears must be used but it is up to the competitor if they wish to use the clutch or not.

If you can't find a bit of space on an 8+ mile circuit with 45mins to find it.....

i was hoping for collisions to be on

It was a little frustrating for the Sebring qualifying if I remember correctly, but this track is more than twice the size so it shouldn't be a problem.

Just be sure to call out if your on a good and clean lap.

Yeah, that's my problem with it--getting drafted by an errant LMP1 car while you're on a flyer.

I had about 10% tire wear before I finally got spaced out away from the other cars... I'd say it definitely had an affect on my times, my only solace being that everyone else has to qualify under these conditions.

tbh a few seconds and being placed 2nd rather than 1st isnt going to make too much of a differance on this race, Endurance being the optimum word. I only think we need qualifying is for the start position.

being 1st doesnt mean anything in the overall picture of it. just nice to get that realism effect.

It actually works out alright as long as there is communication like there was in last nights UK qually. If you are on a good clean lap then just tell peeps about it. It helps if you know the names of some of the corners and the straights as you/they can explain where you/they are on the circuit.

Maybe Simon should do a video circuit guide with commentary

When do we found out where we have placed in qually? friday ?
