Class: P1
Car: ARX-02a
Track: Sebring
Time: 1:46.892 (clean)
Hit that last night in the open lobby. And if memory serves, the tune currently on my ARX-02a is from the Dan Wheldon 500, with the restrictors put back on.
Class: GTE
Car: Porsche 911 GT3-RSR
Track: Sebring
Time: Struggling
The bumps around this track really upset this car. Car feels fine elsewhere though

Haribo Racing Porsche
Sebring-2.08.529
Could knock a seconds off that with some tuning and also not bad for my first test on the circuit since the 12 hour race in march.

Re: Lap times
i've been talking to people around the league and getting a good idea what lap times are and I was wondering are the LMP2 and LMP1; GTE and GTC times suppose to be close or are they designed to be have a time gap between each class due to horsepower, and over all speed? I mean I am not the fastest driver by any means but I would think a GTE Corvette ZR1 doing anywhere between at 2:05:xxx-2:07:xxx should be quite a bit faster than a GTC Porsche Cup. Maybe I am just slower than everyone else but it is interesting the times that are popping up
Re: Lap times
Well to be fair.
The porsche is a nippy car on the straightways getting up to 165 ish if you get a good run and cornering is good too but its rear engined soo power mid corner and you are backing it into a wall.
In conclusion its good but very hard to drive/master.
When the GT cars are much easyer to drive like the vette's.
Its very early days into testing and tuning with the first round about 3 weeks away. Im sure that the GTE cars can do 2.2-5 or even lower consistantly while GTC are doing 2.07's giving a 4 second a lap quicker which sounds about right in reality.

In real life (at least in the American Le Mans Series), the GTs and GTC's are very similar in terms of straight line speed. At the 12 hours of Sebring this year, the fastest GT went 2:00.394 (BMW) and the fastest GTC went 2:07.587. For Lime Rock (today) I think the times were only 4 seconds apart.

Re: Lap times
Here are some times from my first day of testing in my new ride. All times are clean.
Class: P1
Car: HPD ARX-03a (Acura ARX-02a)
Track: Sebring International Raceway
Time: 1:46.399 (easily 2 seconds off pace, still figuring out SIR)
Track: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Time: 1:13.786 (12's will come...11's are a long shot)
Track: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Time: 1:13.418 (12's or 11's to come)
Track: Road America
Time: 1:46.811 (45's are inevitable, maybe even 44's)
Track: Infineon Raceway
Time: 1:20.015 (~2 seconds off I figure, mostly pilot error)
Track: Road Atlanta
Time: 1:07.016 (perfect car for ATL)

Re: Lap times
In the Top Gear rivals challenge in the GTC porsche the fastest time is a 2:04:666 I believe around Sebring.

Ive been to both series at Mid-Ohio, and yes, the DP's are much faster than the GT class in Grand-Am.

Class: GTE
Car: #08 Lamborghini
Clean/dirty: Clean
Time: 2:03.596
Track: Sebring
The Lamborghini takes about 5-6 laps to settle in, but I'm getting to the point where most laps are in the 2:03's.
