I was definitely bummed out about group H getting postponed and all... being my first TORA experience, but i could tell they were doing all they could and kept patient after almost two and a half hours into the thing. Al i can say is i'll be extra pumped and ready to go come this sunday!

People are still having the same issues tonight as last night, trying to run a GT test lobby for next week and nobody can connect to anyone.

what a pain. come on xbox live. it's not like this is free.

Yup, as you can see on the main forum page, the twitter feed on the left, that one of my fellow staff members has decided to embarrass me with trying to find out WTF is going on, cos at this rate, we're having to plan emergency actions for Hockenheim in two weeks time!

We had a nightmare getting 10 people into a side series tonight at 20:00. 10 minutes before and it was fine. By 20:30 the problem seemed to go away and we were ok.

I think the US servers are just totally owned. They have insane temperatures in the US right now, people are dying from it and servers need cool temperatures. When I played halo server weren't working aswell for 30 min.

I wonder if this is anything to do with a Hacking attack, especially as with the Sony Network users details and passwords were hacked. This would fall in line with my gaming email accounts being hacked!!

I've wondered that myself Matt if it was some kind of hacking or DDoS attack, but I think that would affect all Xbox Live functions, such as party chat etc. I remember in the past when they've had capacity issues, a few Xmas's ago, that just logging on and sending a chat or party invite wouldn't work, whereas this is more specific, gaming/server related.

One of the tweets from Xbox Support backs-up that line of thinking:

"@magicturbo are you able to join a party outside of the game? ^BB"

For me the problems started with the most recent dashboard update, which apart from breaking all the Fanatec wheels:

"The new software doesn’t bring any new features, as it just makes some behind-the-scenes improvements, while setting the stage for future enhancements."

I think they've broken something somewhere lol

Xbox.com, forums.xbox.com and forzamotorsport.net are up and down all the time too - coming back with Runtime Error's etc, that's server related, not network or capacity issues.

Maybe they need to reset the Windows 95 laptop that's running Xbox Live? Laughing
