This. Means that qualifying is far, far more important than the actual race in my mind.

Has the race started? I totally missed the qualifying... didn't know it was going on. I thought it was only practice

Due to the large number of GTEs, we have to even it out amongst all the lobbies. It's the best way to do it so that no lobby has an advantage in having smaller numbers.

had to retire as i was over taking somebody, cant remember who, we both arived at a corner, cant remember what one, and he braked too early or i didnt anticipate it, rear ended him and ended up in the wall. 100% damage to every part of my body. I crippled my way back to the pits to repair but after 2 more laps the car was completely undrivable.

not the best start to the season. ah well better luck next race i suppose.

a few talking points from the first race of the season for me anyway...

first and foremost i think if you dont have a mic you shouldnt be allowed to run..sorry but in multi class racing it is necessary to call out your passes...it just is...over 40 minutes in i got taken out by a passing P1 car that i didnt even know was there, because he didnt call it, and didnt say anything after it happened either...so if he did have a mic it was muted, which is like having no mic at all...whats the point?

also as for room host duties, i realize that you guys have your people that run things and are always there to help make things flow as smoothly as possible, but if the lobby host has a choppy sounding voice to everyone in the lobby can we not get him to set up the room, invite everyone in, then by using the back button back out of the lobby, handing the host to someone else, and then have them rejoin as just a normal participant? it just doesnt seem like a good idea to have a host that is lagging to everyone in the lobby as the one who is running as the server...im not saying that that is absolutely the reason, but shortly after getting hit I lagged out, and my connection is verizon FIOS 30/30 directly hardwired from the modem, all fiber optic, so the likelihood that i lagged out on my connection is a bit slim....i know v12 nickrox had an issue as well, although he didnt lag out (at least not before i did)

just some thoughts, i was having alot of fun to that point, and it was a good clean race.

I lagged out at the same time Rollin did, which sucks as I had just caught Haburi for P1 in GTE. I'm on Verizon FIOS 50/30 and never have an issue. What an absolute disappointment.

under-qualify, spin out, spin out another 3 times after damage, then get disconnected from live. could it of gone worse?

Cheers for the race in lobby D, only complaint ive got is GT cars when your board dont take it put on the cones that everyone else is using as brake markers. Also the voice chat needs to be kept to a minimum, understand you were annoyed about lobby penalty but LMP cars need to comunicate when passing.

bummer. had a nice scrap going with F4H Insanity (felt like the roles were reversed from yesterday's TASCAR race) and CRC Skitchin in the early laps. then got punted by an LMP2 machine around turn 14-15, then had to nurse an ill handling Porsche around for the remainder of the race.

That was the closest ISCC race I have ever had. Finished 2 seconds up on LMR Deftone.

This. I hit either a cone or marker sitting in the middle of the back straight, and got 14% front end half way through, so I concur.

Agree not good for drivers who use breaking markers,

Agreed. Its especially hard for those of us who choose not to have the braking line on.

This also got brought up by Outlaw in race when he and I had a close call as he was making a pass and I tried to tell him which side I was best but we couldn't hear each other. Luckily nothing came out of it other than some lost time.

My race got ruined by turn 17. Nobody was around and I just happened to find that ONE bump that sent me sideways to the tire wall which gave my Ferrari a good bit of damage on the side and rear aero. Other than that, thoroughly enjoyed racing with everyone in Lobby D also.
