A bit disappointed this morning, as we lagged out of four stints this race
But everyone on Team HR Allied Forces had fun while we were actually connected and we will be back at The Ring with a vengeance
Thanks everyone, staff, volunteers and competitors alike, as it wouldn't happen without all of you.

On stint 7, lobby B you have OldMadGamer with no entry. He lagged out at 40 miles.

Amazing what happens when a team actually gets to drive the entire race.
Maybe M&M wouldn't mind sharing hosting with the other teams during the race? It seemed that almost every team in lobby A had some form of lag related problems yet M&M was trouble free. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
Just food for thought.

If are not happy with the time and effort that we put into setting up and running these events you don't have to race.

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - General Discussion
I had lag issues today, particularly with F4H Carerra, so I don't think any of us managed to escape the dreaded lag issues of Forza

Where did I say that? You guys do the best job with these events by far. I think other people are capable of setting up rooms just as well. It was just a simple suggestion.
It's not like you guys are cheating or changing rules to benefit yourselves......oh wait.

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - General Discussion
I assume this is regarding the pitstops then? We were looked to add pit stops to the races as people wanted them in and asked for them after Le Mans, so when we added them and picked our car the F4H guys pointed out the Lambo doesn't make it on a full tank in one stint as was apparent for us at Sebring
I would just like to point out that I pitted within the first few minutes of Stint 2 due to my wheel issues and Ian went on to finish the stint without pitting again and the fuel light hadn't even came on. We would have made the 1 hour 45 min stint no matter if pit stops were a part of the sessions or not.
The stints were originally going to be 2hr 45mins for Silverstone so everyone would have had to have pitted anyway.

Pit stops kept me sane! A quick 30 seconds to get rid of the cramp in me right hand as no way of easing off down hangar straight lol.

Wow what a weekend, I want to thank TORA for the efforts and dedication for making this happen!
Hats off to everyone that participated in Lobby "C", I got to drive beside a bunch of great guys that raced clean and respectful
Thanks to Hailfire Racing for bringing a 4th car to the race team, HR Turner #951 BMW and allowing me to drive and team up with three great individuals who drove the heck out of a car that was rolled 5 times, started last place and pushed it to finish in the 4th position,
Great job to the other three Hailfire racing teams and their accomplishments, glad to be teammates with all of them,
Question- can we wash the car now?

Not to start anything here, but i'd just like to point out Forza uses peer-to-peer connections, so even though they were 'host' of the lobby in terms of connection, everybody is equal and nobody has an advantage.MOPAR001 wrote:Amazing what happens when a team actually gets to drive the entire race.

If anything Forza would work better with have an actual connection host, as then all the people with slower connections wouldn't suffer as much lag as the host's connection (who would need a decent connection, 10meg is fine) would be doing the bulk of the work.
