Race one - Walked away from the get go and finished over 1500ft ahead of 2nd... M&M B lobby win!
Race two - Got caught in an early cash (had no where to go and clipped a spinning Z4), then after the re-start battled with a Viper, for 9th, passed him then he spun me 2 corners later after i got past him. After the 2nd safety car I battled from 10th up to 4th in 3 laps, was good fun, but the was very very wounded.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Won the First race in D lobby with a big lead (!:59:8 ) , got last in 2nd race due to enormous damage caused by 3 accidents .. Should ve been a restart because of incorrect starting procedure, countdown was after start finish. Also i think there were some mayor multiple car accidents in the first 3 laps dunno for sure.
Well at least there are more races left to compensate

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Brilliant first race, but the second wasn't so great.
The battle for the first 4 positions was immense. There was CQR Magic & CQR VtecTorgue for 1st and them myself and BG Crunk for the final podium place.
Race 2 is one to forget. All kinds of connection issues which resorted to collisons and also at the restart. Very strange incident!! I will need to have a look at it because I think the connections were terrible and also the restart procedure needs ammending as a result.
But, I'm really pleased that my new xbox has worked. The game didn't freeze once during either race so I'm thrilled about that.
Many congratulations to CQR for the one two in the first race, and also BG for their top two finishes in the second race.

Had a blast down in Lobby E (fast enough for Lobby B once I fixed the tune ). Awesome moment at the beginning of race 2 where I went from 7th to 4th in one corner

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
I don't know what to suggest, seems many lobbies had a few collisions, lags and crashes. Safety car restart went badly in Lobby A too.
On looking at the replay, I can see Hainesy maintaining a constant speed, but Beanz for a split second eases off the throttle and slows down by 5mph. With the rest of the field so close behind, Jono slowed down even more to avoid collision to compensate, Cobblepop makes a minor touch to Jono, I luckily slow down in time before colliding with Cobblepop, as does whoever was behind me . But with the rest of the guys behind him so close, and I mean literally noses touching tails, the minor lift was turning into major braking and therefore collisions.
Fact is everyone needs alot of space and spacial awareness. Not just the car in front, or the car in front of him, but many cars ahead. Either that, or give yourself plenty of space to work with. Fact is, you shouldn't overtake before the start line anyways so even if it began when I looked like it may have done, you would lose a position by accelerating more gingerly.

1st race was an epic.
2nd race was.........well, let's not talk about it.

1st Race - Chuffed to bits at finishing second in Lobby B - took me a while to get past BG regaddict but done it eventually...
2nd Race - Well. Check the replay.
Congrats to Chaddy for winning 2nd race too!

Get in! Well done Hainesy boy, i fought you hard, anybody else and i wouldn't have left you space!
As for the incident that caused the safety car, from my point of view, Crunk & Run Wide were turning into the right hander onto the back straight, and not enough room was left between the pair which caused the spin, i couldn't see any lag from either party but hey-ho. As for connection issues though, i don't think they are as bad as everyone is making out, EVERYBODY was fine for me, and have been in all the races so far.

Needs pegging back in a straight line in that case then, it's ridonculous.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Problem as well Simon is that some of the quicker drivers in the reverse grids are eager to get through the pack. That's another factor as well. I'm not pointing fingers on who the culperates are, but drivers just need to take things a little calmer when it comes to the second races. It doesn't happen in every reverse grid event obviously, but when it does happen, then it can cause a lot of strife.
When it came to the restart, I was falling behind BG Crunk and tried to catch back up. From my view, it looked like the race had restarted because of the speed we were travelling. And then all of a sudden, the cars infront slowed dramatically and it caused me to crash into the rear of Crunk. And the rest is history. Apologies once again to BG Crunk.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Lobby A Race 1 was just unbelievably good - laps 6 to 9 battling for the lead with VtecTorquE, changing positions 6 times 0.03s apart at the finish!
Race 2... mmm less said about that one the better!

Think the only way I can make it better is to enforce rules regarding safety car starts. like, the lead driver MUST be travelling at 30mph before flooring it, which can be done anytime after the second to last corner, and all drivers must be a certain distance from the car in front of them upon the flooring, and of course, no overtaking before the line

I wouldn't be happy adding more PI to a race winning car.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Was a great first race for me in lobby E!
First race I made stupid mistakes already in corner 2 (sorry again Blaze) and came in 11th.
Second race I started from 3 and even took the lead for a couple of laps. Man was I stressed In the end I finished 3rd and couldn't be happier.
But the starts in lobby E looked messy :/

it has won 1 race in this series on a speed track and the car is a speed car but there is more handling tracks so car is at a unfair disadvantage

I would defernately agree with that! But I would like to include the lead driver calling the restart as well. As in saying "3,2,1, GO" like the rolling starts.
You have to remember that we are not racing drivers. We have to rely on our communications because 8 out of 10 incidents (rough estimate) are caused due to lack of communications. Our stiuations are completely different because real cars don't suffer with lag for example. It does pay to see out of our eyeballs obviously, but it doesn't hurt on the odd occassion to help each other to ensure that race meetings go as smoothly as possible.

Personally i would agree with Dan here, the majority of incidents seem to happen in race 2 rather than 1.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Lagging cars caused all the crashes and incidents in race 2 again, it's about time people sorted out their connections, fed up with not being able to race cars because their jumping all over the track. Nothing to do with faster drivers being at the back causing crashes, all the crashes were between drivers who were further up crashing and then being hit by those behind.

Re: TORA MSA GT Meeting 5 - Nurburgring GP
Reverse grids just dont work IMO. I would rather see the race 1 results set the grid for race 2 as you just earned the right to be there.
Dan i dont agree because in lobby a for example can you spot the quickest driver with a tenth or less between everyone in race trim and not hotlapping for qualy. Some drivers race better than they do qualy so that statement is never true unless you prove you can overtake cleanly and still be quickest why you do it.
