A message TO ALL tora staff members from me

hey guys this is MATT PASTRAMNI due to recent connection issues i will unable to join any lobbies unless im one of the first 5 to be invited. so you can invite me first and invite other people after and make it a full lobby and i will still be able to stay. but if theres 6 people or more and i get an ivite and try to join i wont be able to. thanks for reading

Should have nothing to do with the amount of players in the lobby , but if it works it works i guess.

its been happening with me on every lobby on forza

If I recall correctly Matt, you are in India? I am very sorry to inform you of this, but I think that may be the biggest part of your connection issues. There was a guy from South Africa who had similar problems. I am not saying anything bad about India, just that the distance may be too far from Forza's servers to gain a proper connection.

im in america but we have an mile high altitude

I'm sure you have reset and rereset your router and all that then. Try a cache clearing on your XBox console?

It sounds like your NAT settings are set at moderate.

This. Its not that you have to be one of the first 5 people to get into the lobby, its that you 'have' to be in the lobby before anyone with a strict or moderate NAT setting gets in, therefore blocking you from getting in, you just block them instead.

If people dealt with their NAT issues, these problems would all but disappear. The nightmares I had with this when hosting my own series drove me mentale!

i have had this problem before and all i had to do was switch off my router for about 1min and then turn it back on,that puts your nat setting to open.also if you have a call of duty or halo game then go in the multiplayer section of the game and then have a look at what you nat setting is if its moderate or strict then you wont be able to join a game if its hosted by someone,but i do know that certain games will still allow you to play with other people who have the same nat settings.i hope this helps.

reset my router I know that( and i do that often, especially before a TORA race).
But cache clearing Xbox?
How can I do that?

Its a option within the 'system settings' - memory if i remember right.
Doesnt fix everything, but its a good place to start as a rule of thumb

Matt there is noting we can do I would contact your broadband service provider and get them to fix the issue you are paying for a service they are not providing.

ive done that over 50 times now. no change

also were using wireless internet so i have no clue if that changes anything

Wireless makes a big difference, as there is more security.

Did you know wireless signals are affected by many house appliances? Microwaves baby monitors etc etc

I've been using wireless to play on XBL for around a month now, and i've not had any issues with lag or anything. Using wireless though, and your ISP should not be confused with NAT issues, as this is pretty much guaranteed to be your router causing the problem.

If you can, port trigger as this saves having to assign static IP addresses.

I'm also on wireless. Most of the time all is fine and good, but if someone in the house decides to do anything else on wifi, I am hosed. It has happened, once... and my reaction to it should keep that from ever happening again

That there is funny Mike Thank God my kids are long gone, but I also am hooked direct not wireless.

We have the best wireless available in our neck of the woods. tried something lesser, and the lag/conn issues were unbearable. Then the most recent router upgrade made things work even better.

I had quite a few issues with the wireless internet in my old place.

Now, in my new house, I made sure to have my modem right beside my xbox.
