Re: IROC 79 Series
you will be able to change the rear-end final gear ratios, tire pressure, brake bias and pressure and diff settings only.
everything else is untuneable, so don't worry about it. The settings that he put on the tune is a general tune for road-courses

Consider this more of a spec car version of the Classic TA Series... just as the original IROC Series was
@ Dewey, I'll send you the unlocked version of the tune... for Sunset, I used something like 2:73 or 2:83 rear gear. Should hit about 183 MPH at the end of the backstretch. I am hoping that these cars draft effectively.

Re: IROC 79 Series
This series is now on the backburner... I just reread silentalarm's TTA R.L> thread and realized that his starts next week. I'm not sure two spec series starting two days apart is the best move, so I will delay the start of this one 2-3 weeks.
Sorry

Re: IROC 79 Series
If its Friday night (gmt), I'm in. If its like midnight (GMT) I will have to pass on this grass.
Re: IROC 79 Series
Series is under delay, but let's discuss Who would be IN and When would be the best Time...
I like the Fri 12M BST/ 4PM Pacific myself. but don't want to be a dicktator. So, what works for you?

Re: IROC 79 Series
4pm PST is somewhat possible for me on Fridays.
otherwise, 5pm PST to 10pm PST on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

Re: IROC 79 Series
4PM EST (-5 GMT) is the earliest I would safely be able to hop on.
And since I haven't picked.

Re: IROC 79 Series
Anything starting before Midnight BST is doable for me, although I know I'm going to be in the minority here.

Re: IROC 79 Series
Great to see the interest in the series
Seems that the initial time may work for most after all. As for it being Midnight BST, I plan on a quick show: no quallys as long as there are 16 entries or less, and race distances have been calculated at 40 minutes. Even with a Q session, it should be in out done within an hour.
And after a bit of thought and rethought, I would like to start the series on October 19th, a two week delay from initial starting date. That would give silent alarm's TTA series a chance to gain momentum, and still let this series get finished before Thanksgiving (US) holiday weekend.

Re: IROC 79 Series
Pitiful we can only get three or four guys to race this series! It surely looks to be fun........Oops this was meant to be in the TTA thread.

That seems to be following a trend that concerns me.

Re: IROC 79 Series
In the early years of IROC, it was truly International. In later years it was more like American Allstars: Mostly NASCAR with the winner of the Indy 500 thrown in.
So for season 1 anyway, I wanted to represent the "golden age" of IROC.

Re: IROC 79 Series
Seeing as there is no TORA race today...
Anyone want to grab a 79 Camaro, apply the IROC tune to it (free on my SF) and have a go at it today? I'll be on sometime around 8-8:30 BST.
I know these cars race well one on one, but have yet to see what they're like in a group.
