V8 supercars Camino Viejo track help- need corner names

hey guys, si i am going to be making a 'track guide' much like Dans for ISCC, and the GT pole laps for the GT series. it will have commentary with either myself or Morphader if he wants, but as this is a fantisy track, it has no corner names, that's where you step in. i was wondering if you guys could help me finish or give me better names for the corners, i have a track map below with corner numbers which correspond to the names, so got ideas for names? just post,

21/21a/22: Since that stretch is vaguely similar to the section at the bottom end of the long downhill straight of Bathurst: "The Chase"

2: Vista Point or Overlook: As it has a great view of the valley below, it reminds me of a Vista Point/Overlook turnout on a scenic byway.

Others I have heard: #3 Bottom, as it is the lowest point of the circuit, #6 Rock, as the turn goes around a large rock. The straight between 10 and 11: The Jump for obvious reasons.

since the elevator is a long uphill you could say it as "oh ____ is going up the elevator" lol

Mopar, I like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 is ok, I recon 11 should be what it is because of the grand stands and 12 because there are Xbox logos all around that chicane, Like 14 (I should make that in Spanish), I wanna keep 16 & 17 because they're names after late Jason Richards and 18 because it's named after the late Ayrton Senna, same reason I wanna keep it brocks corner at 6, And then (now) 22 to pit straight can be called the chase, seems fitting, what about the right gander going into the chase?

im not. I'm at my res atm and my xbox is 1 hour away . You can PM me here if you want tho. I figured because in fantasy this track is located in Spain that you would need a Spanish drivers name on the track, hence why I suggested Alonso because he is the only Spanish F1 to win....anything lol.

I have no problem calling anything Senna, although I have to brush myself up on the other two :S

My reasoning for my NASA one is because you land the big jump....i dunno it was the first thing that popped into my head.

What do you think about "Parabolica" and "The switchboard"?

I figure I'd name a corner "Parabolica" since nearly every F1 track has it. Monza, Spa....just to name a couple

We can have 11 as NASA one if u want, that's cool, Jason Richards was a V8 driver who died a few years ago (rest his sole) and please tell me you know of Peter Brock?

Forgot to say, Richards was battling cancer for I think 4-6 years before he died, did work for charity and was just a great bloke!! Passed so suddenly, I'm actually getting teary writing this

Sorry, I don't know of Brock :S. If he was a V8 car driver as well, I only know of a handfull of names, simply because I've only started REALLY following it for a couple of years. I know Ambrose, Winterbottom, Kelly bros, Lowndes off the top of my head.

Brock when he raced V8's one the Bathurst 1000 7-9 times, was the champion a heap of times (can't remember off the top of my head) then went to rally driving and did well until he slammed side first into a tree, rip it car in half and died on impact, was only like 45 or something :'(

that sucks, btw after you explained that to me the NASA themed one sounds lame. truthfully it was a random thought that I just put to paper

That freakin chicane at the end of the straight is annoying as! You run a tiny bit wide on the second part it dirties your laps :/

you spelled "trench" wrong. Also I had Parabolica as turn 20,not 19. Horseshoe is more appropriate for 19

I like to think I have 2 corners named after me but the real reason is much better.

Sorry for the lack of communication from me about this, it's been a hell of a week and I'm still going as we have Eurogamer in a few days. Glad to see this is popular and wish you guys the best with it

I think 16 should be Ladera Straight and 9C should be Iberian Switchback or whatever. Something to indicate the change in location.
