Please give it up, it's getting old and i'm getting bored....
There is a 458 (Ting Tang Ferrari) that runs at every round of the VLN in 2012.
Yes, there has been ONE vette (which was running very high up the top 40 shoot out) and several others at the VLN.

I have. Like I said until duncan said no, nobody had declared or PM'd me that the OLD Viper wouldn't fly. whenever I had asked up until that point all I got was "i dunno, but Ian is working on it, but the new viper is a deff no".

I'd say those sorts of times should be quite easily obtainable.

Re: TORA VLN Lap Times
I do not think I can tune this BMW Z4 in SP1 any better. I keep going back to improve it and I make it feel worse everytime. I think I am getting the maximum out of it. Hitting times that are very competitive with it and I am looking forward to this although we may have trouble over taking in these cars. Should be interesting

Sometimes when you drive around here you find time from everywhere. Think about it. Do you doubt you can find a tenth in each corner? You hold the same controller as everybody and we contain all the same tools. Now I love this track, I really do and sometimes a tune on a car comes to life when you push the car hard in the apex approach and exit. One tip I can give you is that there is traction to be had here when you feather the throttle. Do not get in the habit of being 100% on or off the throttle. Sometimes 60% throttle or 50%, whatever, can grab you that time.
What I do is push the car hard and when I feel the car about to break I feather the throttle, I let off very slightly and the car gets it's equilibrium in the turn. If I was to release the throttle off altogether? The car would probably slide out or i'd have to wrestle with it for traction.
Another tip. Use a 5 gear set up. Do NOT use 6th gear. Tune it so that you are hitting the maximum in 4th on the back straight. You should NOT be shirting into 5th. Also you should only be using one gear in the back section through all the curves and twists (between carousels). I use 3rd gear through nearly all the corners and of course at the jump you set the car up to take the jump and THEN you turn. Do not begin to turn as you take the jump and also take the jump in the centre of the track. NOT the left.
I hope this helps and as always, practise and practise! Out of everything I said, throttle control is the most important.

Re: TORA VLN Lap Times
Thanks for the tips!
Raza has some new set ups for me to try out. Hope that I can wring some seconds out of those.
And I love this track immensely, that’s why I entered this race. Just thought I would be more competitive ...

Re: TORA VLN Lap Times
You have to remember that the longer the track, the larger the spread. Even the top guys will be separated by seconds in most cases rather than tenths. This track really comes down to practice and knowing where to push. There are certain parts of the track where the braking line lies to you a bit and you have to learn the fast line. Unfortunately for me right now, I can't hit these fast lines consistently, and small mistakes can ruin an entire stint. Going into Aremburg kills me every lap, I always push too hard and slide off the track. That and going up the succeeding hill, that left kink... its deadly.

Aah Fuchsröhre into Adenauer, I'm struggling in exactly the same sectors. That jump in the last sector is a female dog as well... Might I add one tip? Whatever you do, stay off the curbs in the last sector...
That said, after hours of tweaking and fiddling with the Volvo we've got a tune that will not flip the car over every other corner, only to found out we're still a good 10 seconds off of the faster times posted up here. So you're not alone here BalmierPie, a shame we run different classes or we could've done our sighseeing tour together
