I was hoping for the double header option myself, but I understand the late hour that would bring.

^ Awesome, thanks!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who showed up for tonight's race.
I was having fun watching the lead battle in R1 up until I rolled myself out of 3rd. Thought about calling for a safety car until I got back onto the track in 7th. I figured I would lose more spots bunching up the field than if the race ran its course.
Race 2 was even more fun, as I had a great battle for P2 with silentalarm for most of the race, the whole time not too far behind Mourne. I gotta say that was one of the best races I have ever had in all of Forza, as it seemed the lap counter went into slow motion. As it was, I had 11 laps of good, but all it took was one slip up and the spot was lost.
I sure hope everyone else had as much fun as I did, and look forward to seeing you all at the next round(s?)

Think the race tyres were the way to go. Mikey thats a good call regarding keeping the pack close. When i built the car i was hesitant to enter as she felt like a tough little brute.
The car comes to you and being able to push on race tyres sure kept the spread low.
I played safe avoiding kerbs and not commiting to any tough passes.
Good choice in race one as i picked the odd place up passing cars on their roof

Thanks for the kind words.
When building the car, I had a couple goals. One was to keep it era correct, as authentic to the real IROC concept of "all drivers in equal cars", the other was driveability. I wanted to provide close racing, but allow for driver skill to shine.
The limited tuning of so many Sport upgrade components seems to emphasize driving skill over tuning skill, with an added bonus of less time spent testing and tuning, which makes it relatively easy to just grab the car and race within a few minutes, as evidenced by Mourne Identity's win last night... he hadn't even turned a lap in the car up to 10 minutes before the race.

Thank you guys for the great season!
Sorry for all the issues tonight... picked a horrible time for a headset failure. I couldn't hear anyone most of the time, and I guess sometimes you all heard me.
At Sunset, I am pretty sure that there should have been a second restart as I saw some serious carnage in my mirrors, but couldn't call it myself... it's up to those involved in the wreck to call it out.
If not for the lack of communication (again my apologies for that), I would call this series a success. The Spec Miata and Street Stock races during Winter Heat Speedweek are sneak peeks at what I have planned for early 2013, but both series will see some tweaks between Winter Heat and their respective seasons.

I know there was a lot of attrition over the evening, but since I lost my headset early on, I know not why? Bummed as I was hoping for some good races to wrap up the series.
I liked the way these cars raced... would I be in the wrong to attempt to make the next series' cars feel similar?

I think since the cars are changing, the feel should be different, although how different is up to you. Personally id like to see something with less grip but similar speed to the Porsche. Oh, and hopefully something that rolls less
I'd also like to see a championship using something like an E-Type Jag around the European circuits. We've only used US tracks so far.

Spec championships always throw up the best racing. We need that here. I should be able to do Fridays at midnight (or Saturday morning?) if you plan to keep that timeslot

Re: IROC 74 Series Discussion and Feedback - Rd 4 Poll Added
Timeslot will stay the same, as it is one of the very few times that I can get a healthy global mix of drivers w/o too many conflicts from other series. I am taking the next three Fridays off for the holidays, but I think Bandit will be hosting some one off races those weeks.
There are a couple of races during Winter heat that are actually test sessions for my next series. My goals are to keep it a spec series, or as close to one as possible... and most of all fun for all involved.
