TORA iRacing V8's

Considering this. Would anyone be interested in an invite only (private) TORA iRacing event? Doesn't have to be V8's either!

I would join, but my computer is rather out-of-date, therefore iRacing will most likely not work on my computer.

I'm in, but I don't have the V8s. How about we use the basic cars, like the Mazda? I'm only really an Oval racer. I was thinking of buying the new McLaren though. I'm up for getting something going on iRacing though, but you need to rent a server.

yeah any car as Im a newbie but would be great to have a TORA privately organised event or two (even if just a bit of fun). Yeah the rent is only two dollars, free to join, I'll stump it up no probs, its cheaper than DLC in forza!!

Not sure if i can afford iRacing but i like the idea of a PC mini series. I'd recommend Race 07, GTR2 or rFactor. The first two are dirt cheap on steam (£2.49 and £7.49) and all of them have thousands of mods meaning we could orginise a championship with pretty much any track or car we can think of.

Hey Matt, quite a few of the CQR guys are into iRacing - Dizzy, Birla, Senna etc, so they might be interested in a TORA iRacing event! I'll post a link up on the CQR forum point them over here

I tried iRacing myself using a wired Xbox pad, but couldn't get the dead zones right, was weaving down the straights, pretty hard to control!

cool. thx. It rocks with my fanatec. Was horrid to begin with though until I played with the settings. Now I just ran two races back to back and came second in both nvidia Mazda races without qualifying and ran fastest lap in last race!! Even the slightest tap causes some issue / damage, its awesome.

I have them all now thanks silent ;O) iRacing out performs them for me so far but they are enjoyable to ;O) Would defo be up for doing something on one of them too ;O)

I don't have a wheel....anyone tried iracing with the MS pad?? I have a wireless adapter, so could use that. It works pretty well with pCARS.

I have iRacing. Don't like the Aussie V8 though!

@Aero - I couldn't find a way to set a dead zone with the pad, so steering was twitching all over the place: little video: http://telly.com/3VXXQ

@Shifty - you and Alex got Race 07 too haven't you? You use the Xbox pad on that?

@Matt - I saw your iRacing settings in the other thread, I'll post them up in our iRacing section too, cos a few people have asked about decent Fanatec settings, cheers

@ richy I have seen you have to some major mods to the settings on the fantec wheels to get them to work on i racing

I have, to say it's terrible is an understatement, the way i found it, i was either going straight, or full lock left or right... not fun!
