I figure it takes me 10mins to change the colour of the box and load the font and name plates for each driver.
so thats ((6x2)GT3 + 4GT4)x10min = 2 2/3 hrs just changing stuff around on the cars. Not to mention it took me 4-5hrs for each livery and making the vinyls so thats 12-15hrs + 2 2/3hrs doing the liveries.
I'm just saying one box will make everyones life a lot easier.
Right, firstly, it's your own fault for doing such "elaborate designs" and choosing to babysit that many people. Custom fonts? Thats your own fault as well. Name plates, thats nothing to do with me, that's your own choice. I'd figure if you had a simple font given by Forza and used that, take away the name plate factor, I didn't ask you to do that, That'll narrow it down to 2-3 mins a car. That how much it took me.
I'm sure Richy or someone might edit this later, tbh I don't care right now, I'm starting to get tired and done with taking so many "serious" complaints about the most trivial of subjects known to man.

right, so it's my own fault for getting SRT on board and trying to get their name in here on TORA. It my fault for trying to impress them and get a livery that they actually like. It's my fault that I make a (really) simple suggestion to make things smoother. It's my own fault that im not part of a big team like CQR, BG, F4H, VVV or IRT, because if I was and made this suggestion, you'd take it seriously. But no, because I'm a nobody who is honestly trying to do some good here , I get thrown in the trash can.
You don't believe me? Remember how CQR said they wouldn't run a team in GT10 because of the rules? Only then did stuff start coming around and amending car builds. If myself or another small team like Hailfire Racing, or Bandit1097 Racing made the same remark you'd say something like "oh well, you don't have to race with us, it's your own choice".
You have to stop taking suggestions personnally and look at it in the bigger picture from a TORA perspective. If it makes things easier, if it takes 5mins less or an hour or more less, why not do it?
I understand that it's two seperate championships that are being scored together for a third championship. but why not make it easier to distinguish those who are doing both. That's all I'm saying. No need to get all hyped up from it.
Beanz, im sorry but a simple "agreed" would suffice, no need to make me look like a child by posting memes.
Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
Mopar, i don't know why you're getting so bent out of shape. Everybody else seems to be able to do their paints in a reasonable amount of time.mopar4t4 wrote:Beanz, im sorry but a simple "agreed" would suffice, no need to make me look like a child by posting memes.
Our livery is far from simple, but changing three number boards per car, and adding the GT3/4 badge does not take like three ours. Do all of the sprint ones together, then go back in, load each once, and just insert the endurance board over the top of it, delete the old board and voila, done.
It took me all of an hour to do all eight paints, and that was including moving some sponsorship logos around as they didn't fit once i added the number board, no offense but it's not a hard or particularly time consuming task.

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
And this I agree with you. It isn't hard but for me with all the custom fonts and having to make 3 different number boxes (flag wise) it does take me longer to do it.
However I wrote my first post not angry nor bent out of shape. It was a suggestion that needed a long explaination.
I will not take kindly to getting blamed for trying to do a good job with my liveries the hard way, which is always better than the easy way in the end.

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
Mopar you're missing the point. If you have to do three different flags anyway, you'll just merge that flag onto the other number board, it's not like you have to start from scratch with it.mopar4t4 wrote:It isn't hard but for me with all the custom fonts and having to make 3 different number boxes (flag wise) it does take me longer to do it.
As for the name boards or whatever it is, won't they be so small that let's face it, a custom font would be wasted...

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
I don't use custom fonts for the name plates, just the numbers.
and I don't start from scratch with the number boards either. I made 3 sprint boards with the 3 flags, then put them on the cars. when converting to the other series, I had to ungroup the number boards, change the white to black and then ungroup the numbers and change the colours for that.
doing that for 6 Viper drivers takes longer than simply changing the colour of the forza font, for instance.

mopar, you made the suggestion, it was attempted to explain that its the same for all. then you suggested again. As said, most of the things you suggested took so much time were nothing to do with the numberbox itself. Try starting from strach with an entire series ruleset, implementing the rules, organising 100s of entries and changes, creating the numberbox in the firstplace, and then taking the time to gift them to everyone and their dog, when there is so much more I could be doing.
I'm just getting so tired recently of one person asking if this rule is mandatory, another asking if that rule is mandatory. If a car can get more power, or PI, race brakes, another asking for different paints, and another asking for same numberboxes. I've had safety car complaints, I've had SI complaints. We had the series 9 Silverstone incident, which obviously gave us a huge decision to make after something of which was not our fault in the slightest, saw many people leave TORA. Xbox live was down and we were supposed to have control over that?
I should let you know that everything I say is directly from me, and not the views and opinions of the rest of staff. I love this place to bits, and I try not to do anything to tarnish this. Everyone behind the scenes work their butts off to make this place what it is, and so many complaints here and their about the pettiest things. I dunno, maybe its because for the majority TORA is such a great place people need to find things to complain about, sometimes it just feels like I have a queue of middle aged women coming up to the customer service desk asking for refunds.
I wasn't going to say anything yet as I am still trying to keep the GTs running, but a few weeks back I let staff know that I no longer want to look after GTs anymore as I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to. Until a new GT Co-Ordinator is found then I will continue to do my best in keeping the series running smoothly. Staff are not accepting applications, they are deciding between themselves who will take over GTs. In the meantime I can then focus ALL my efforts reviving TORATV, get more stuff on TORAlive etc etc
I'm sorry if my initial responce was blunt, please can we return the thread to being back on course.
Thank you
Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
In the time you've been talking about making liveries, you could have actually completed quite a few of them.
Moral of the story: Stop being a girl, rules are rules, etc etc. No offence to be taken, though.

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
I understand where this is coming from, I run my own series and get many of the same complaints. I'm sorry that you feel that way and if I pushed a button too many. We will all miss you being the GT guy.
EDIT: Stan, if you read my posts, they are all already done to code, and are ready to be sent long before I made my first post about it.

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
Mopar was just stating something for convenience and future reference. Not necessarily an "I DEMAND ACTION!!!" kind of post, but a "Could you in the future, y'know, make it a little easier for us?" kind of post. It only got ugly once he got slapped into a corner.
Now it's just pissing everyone off and making more people mad than should be.

Last time I checked the first race isn't until the 20th of January, seems like plenty of time to "change colors" and what not.

Re: TORA MSA GT World Championship - Liveries and Vinyls
well this was a fun read , do you guys not actually know how much time simon puts into this series ? now do bare in mind that he does not get paid to run this series so lets all take a step back and think for a second before we post ok failing that count to ten.
