MSA TORA GT World Championship - Sprint Series Round 1 - Catalunya GP - January 27th 8PM GMT

I'm out of Race 1 already, not happy at all. My connection was fine in Q1, but in Q2 everyone apart from JamesHall94 was lagging, so I presumed it was me.

I reset my Xbox/router and still to no avail, so I decided to back out and let the guys race. I'll start but DNF on the grid for R2.

Thanks to Lobby F for being patient and especially to James for 'translating', as he was the only one who could hear everyone clearly!

I will upload Lobby E's, however the second one didn't have many paints

I had a good return to racing, the Vette was pants down that back straight, so spent a lap catching the cars in the corners just to lose it all on the straight. Still fun mind. Race 2 was weird, connected side on with BG Leigh and my car sort of jumped off the track into the gravel and picked up damage all over. Must have been a bit of lag, had fun coming through the guys at the back who were taking chunks out of each other

though maybe we need to rethink standing starts !!

Not going to lie very unimpressed with tonights racing

Taken out in race 1 then seemed to have a magnet attached to my car early in race 2 which meant 80% all round damage

hope next week is better as that was no fun at all

already have however the game wouldnt upload my replays onto the sf. i did have both simon and richy in my lobby though, hope that helps

That was one of the best races ive ever had on forza, managed o get pole in lobby G and then held the lead to win my first TORA race , race 2 was going great got mugged at the line and was 3rd, made my way past into 2nd and i knew where i was faster and could make a move for 1st and then i choose to take a sip of my beverage on the straight and see my car drifting to left slightly so i move the stick to stop it and steer to much and y the time i put drink down i hit the wall, picked up small damage 6%, and lost 2 spots. managed to make my way back into 3rd but aero damage to much of the speed o catch up more. i took a bump from the rear and got 30% rear damage and 7% rear left brake.

Cant wait for next week !

Jeez why did I ever take the Porsche... It's fast of the line and fast in corners, but people just take me over on the straight. There were almost no overtaking opportunity's in the corners, unless someone made a real big mistake.

Today was interesting. I hadn't practiced in about a week so I was a bit surprised I qualified with a pb from a slightly adjusted Endurance series tune but without running any laps in it!
1st race I spent catching Trooper in the corners then losing him down the straights. Got past him and Wumba I think coming out of the last corner after they had contact only for them to re pass me down the straight.
2nd race I thought I braked too late and moved to the left on the grass to avoid Wumba which dropped me to 10th from 6th. Then a few corners after a crash with a lagging car got me up to 6th or 7th I think. Cropper then went off onto the grass which allowed me to get alongside but made contact in the corner (sorry!) but I also got hit from the rear and got 30% aero damage and lost 2 positions to the two BG BM's. Then it was a similar situation to the first race where I would catch up in the corners and wave goodbye on the straights.

H's was interesting. Two guys that must've had a mare in quali 1 off and away. Had I not cocked up my quali 2 lap id have been 2nd, as it was started 12th. Picking your way through is hard, someone lagged into the front of me (sorry about that, awful in straight line and paid for being too eager to slipstream) but finished 6th.

Race two start was carnage!! DJ Kenny ken and I suffering through someone's stupidity but I managed 5th, had I not been so disadvantaged I may have been able to challenge for 3rd but there's no room for ifs what's and maybes in racing!

Now a reality check for rd 2, possibly sacrifice for more testing ready for R3

My night was pretty much summed up as following:

Quali: got a lucky lap that put me in lobby C
Q2: matched my lucky lap that landed me 4th on the grid

Race 1: Tried to avoid accidents and let people through as necessary as i was by far the slowest car on the track. Finished 7th
Race 2: ^ same as above but finished 5th.

Between the car and the track i wasn't having a good time but hopefully i have a more comfortable drive lower down in the pack for the rest of the races.

Please put it SIs if you want things looked at guys!

First race was superb racing and second race was a proper sweatfest trying to hold off Carrera who I got to say is super clean and could have lunged at a few points but didn't.

1st race was clean by all accounts, that Mclaren just gets murdered down the straights, in the 2nd race it was just a lagfest... but some good racing still came out of it
