NO,

The 130R certainly wasn't, it used to be gravel but they changed it due to driver safety, nothing to do with drivers using to gain an advantage. it wouldn't make passing any easier imo if everybody was allowed to run wide, it would just be the same as allowing nobody to run wide. If these runoff areas where intended to be used as you claim then wouldn't they just be part of the track?

I wasn't aware of that but i wasn't referring to Suzuzka as I've never seen a race there. It was a general statement by other tracks in the game and possibly new tracks in FM5.
