Playstation 4? - 20/2/13

Something is happening at a Sony Playstation conference tomorrow (20th). No one knows what it is... Yet everyone knows what it will probably be. Sony have been hinting this for the last few days on their Youtube channel...











The conference will probably be in the late evening GMT time, and I assume it will be streamed in various places, like the Playstation website, IGN, and probably on PS3s and Vitas.

Been keeping check with this and all the leaks/rumours pouring out about it as well. Apparently this is the controller:

I'm excited, but I love a new console launch.

That might not the be final controller... The PS3 was announced with a giant silver boomerang thing

I remember Sony saying they won't announce anything until Microsoft does first.. Whatever happens, it'll be interesting to see how MS tries to trump it

I don't think Sony will want to lose out on the time MS gained at the start of this generation. That controller will probably be a dev one, but it'll be similar at the end. Looks very cheap and plasticy just now, especially with that mandatory Move light thing.

What platform will TORA move to when the Next-Gen consoles launch? Are we an exclusively Xbox league, or will we have championships on the PS4 or both?

Anyway, now I'm in the money i'll be buying both consoles on launch day

This is better than New Years. Is it sad I'm getting all excited over this?

Whatever provides the best games and has most of the community on. I'm pretty confident that most people here will eventually buy a new Xbox and the eventual Forza 5.

I will be for sure Forza 5 will probably drop within the next two years.. GT6 will come around in about 5 years

Shame this event isn't in Japan. We could wake up to the news instead of waiting all day for it.

i still have my launch consle 60GB PS3, and she's a champ. though, i only turn it on to watch anime dvds/blurays. hope to jebus Final Fantasy X-HD is released before it becomes a PS4 title

I'm the same, my 60GB day one console is still going strong but is no where near played as much as my Xbox. On my 7th Xbox since I got my first one in 2006.

FFX-HD is a Vita/PS3 release from what I have seen.

if i count correct, im on my 4th 360. my launch console RRoD'ed, the reburb'ed one my sister has. the Elite RRoD'ed, the reburb'ed one i got back is in storage, and i bought my Slim model before the refurb'ed elite came back, which is why its in storage

Well it better be something special... but I've always been a Xbox dude. Xbox 360 anyway.

Just read that article. Good read. One thing that caught my eye was the ability to watch another play a game from the dashboard even if one doesn't own that game. This could make streaming live races much easier here. As we wouldn't need to take up room space, plus we could have multiple 'cameras'.

It's also been rumoured that Battlefield 4 is being constructed to have 64 player servers. In line with the PC. It would be nice if, for Forza 5, we could get at least 24-32 in a lobby. And have proper multi-class racing.

I am on my fourth Xbox 360 - only because I wanted the latest and greatest model out.

I still have nine unboxed 360's and will probably remain unopened as well. LOL

Is Nintendo just some massive joke factory?

Nintendo just cant keep up with what Sony & Microsoft offer. Poor Nintendo.

I enjoyed the PS3 launch, and I was a die hard PS2 gamer before the 360.

was originally a nintendo-ite if thats how you want to word it. i own/have owned every console/handheld from Nintendo except the Virtual Boy and the 'XL' versions of the DS's. i once went over my cousin's house and he showed me the ropes to FFX, and when i saw the PS2 was on sale at the local Circuit City, i picked one up along with a copy of FFX, and spent HOURS on that game. Longest playtime save file i can remember said something like 130hrs+. then eventually, i got a hold of a used Xbox from GameStop. i currently own all three 'current-gen' consoles, but my Wii is barely EVER used. only for the old-school gaming i have the urge to do (downloaded a bunch of games i used to play). wont even consider the Wii-U as its completely useless. Nintendo has seriously lost touch, IMO, though if they [GameFreak] make a Massive RPG of Pokemon that covers Every Region from the GameBoy/DS titles, i might have to consider it

I don't remember seeing the planets one or the girl being crush by one.

I bought my Wii off a mate who was about to trade it in for peanuts so I got a bargain on it with a bunch of games and controllers, however I never used it except to play Gamecube games as I missed out on those. I have a DS which was barely played apart from Pokemon, and a 3DS which is barely played thanks to my Vita - which is one of the best handhelds ever and so underrated.

Never owned an original Xbox but used to go round to my mates a lot and we used to play 4 player split screen Halo for hours on end. Once I got my 360 I caught up on a bunch of older Xbox games as the 360 games were just starting to come out.

I can't wait for tonight or this year, love some console hype especially when the two biggest companies are releasing a new one around the same time.

I hope the PS4 will cost FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS or else I'm not buying it.

9 unboxed xboxs!!! Send me 2 and that will shut the kids up lol

With the whichway TORA will go you would need a team just for PS4 and a team just for xbox as currently we spend so much time on the xbox if we tried to include the PS also it would be a nightmare. Also we would not have to make it that each event is on different nights as alot of people would be on one and not the other. Need to be the focus of Online racing no matter what the game nor the console.
