Ran on my base tune. Scirocco's tyres are still over heating though, I can't work it out. Serves me right for picking a car I liked and wanted to paint rather than a car that was any good

I've picked up on a few things that were wrong with my hock tune, tyres still like flaming balls of fire though.

Really?? I found it easy after a lap to see what the major issue is. People dont realise how much of an uneven track this actually is. All you want to look at to start is your Suspension. Also do not deck it, loads of travel compared to hock.
Get it rolling over all the bumps instead of tank slapping them you will be in the 34-35 in no time.
Send me a FR if you want me to send my tune. (its not finished but in easy low 1.35)

Re: Nurburgring GP Short Lap Times!
Thank you for the tips Dav,
Im not in an astra bv i would like to hone my springs and damping for the bumps.
Would you have any approx settings that i could try.
I have Rbnd at 10 and bump at 1 with springs around 500 and two notches added to ride height.
Grateful if you could point out what may make me better on the bumps

Re: Nurburgring GP Short Lap Times!
Yeah pal, I raise my bump as I did not want any bottoming out, Ride height is about 5-6 clicks from bottom. My rebound is pretty low compared to usual as I found the Astra Jumping a lot especially just before the last corner.
Like normal, do a few laps and listen for the bumps, watch the replay and see what the bumps are doing and adjust as needed. If you bottom out, raise bump and/or ride hight etc. lower your rebound if the car is jumping after the rebound.
Rinse and repeat.
Spring rate is (to me anyway) how you "feel" the weight transfer.
Hope this helps it the only way I can explain it lol:)
