I can assure you that hasn't came from anyone that knows anything for real.
Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
The Verge reports that the next Crytek game will be a launch title using Kinect 2, and the next Forza game will also be a launch game - however they fail to mention it's full title or which developer i making it...

Oh and the Next Xbox will be shown at a conference in May - rather than the originally planned April.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
Sounds interesting.
In other news, Microsoft Creative Director Adam Orth has "resigned" after his Twitter nonsense the other week.

Hopefully if MS really were thinking of an 'always on' system, they might change their mind.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
Oh, I also saw a rumour today that the Next Xbox will launch alongside an Xbox 360 Mini which will not have a disc drive and just be all digital - which apparently will be 'always-on'
The Next Xbox - like the PS4 - won't be backwards compatible however this Xbox 360 Mini can be plugged into the Next Xbox and when a 360 game is put into the disc drive of the Next Xbox then the Xbox 360 Mini that is plugged in will be able to play the 360 game through the new console. Sounds a bit gimmicky and just a way to make you buy another consoles - but we could just keep our 360 beside the new Xbox. That all depends if the Next Xbox will share the same software/friends list and such.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
It will probably keep the same XBL profiles and all that. Whether they keep the subscription fee is another thing... They probably will to be honest, but at the moment the ball is in Sony's field and so MS should probably forget the fees.
Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
I've heard that Sony is considering a mandatory subscription with the next PS4, but still keeping the same amazing features PS-Plus comes with.
Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
For those unaware, Microsoft has revealed their reveal date for the next gen Xbox; May 21st 2013. Nearly 3 weeks before E3.
http://m.joystiq.com/2013/04/24/xbox-reveal-may-21/
The reveal will be streamed live on Xbox.com Xbox Live & Spike TV (USA & Canada) at 1:00pm EST. So not as bad as the midnight stream of the PS4 for us Europeans.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
Ubisoft released a video of the new Assassins Creed game that has PS4 video in it...
...looks like the PS3.
Which I guess is a bit unfair, as it's just a ported current gen game. MGS5 however and it's FOX engine looks the berries.
Nvidia is also playing the Engine game.

A very out of focus shot of the PS4, teaser for E3
Looks small and black with health hazards all around the edge, like a PS2 crossed with a Wii
