The next-gen console launches have made the PC seem far more appealing to me, that's kinda worrying for a new generation of consoles that are gonna be with us for the next 7+ years!

My PC could probably produce the exact same level of detail as seen on the X1 and PS4 launches, however they build games now to mainly launch on all platforms which tends to hold PC games back. Now that the new console generation is coming we may see much better PC games.

For around the same cost and without all the 'issues' of Xbox One. I'm struggling to see point of Xbox One - it's a heavily restricted PC, with a big focus on watching TV, films, running apps, making Skype calls, so just like a PC then. It's quite bizarre really! In fact if Forza 5 was on PC too, I don't think I'd have a single compelling reason to buy an Xbox One.

I do like the sound of an integrated machine, but we all know here in the UK that it just aint gonna happen. Sky has already said they are happy to continue working with Microsoft but won't be selling the X1 as a viable set top box replacement and it will continue to use the current Sky Go features - which isn't really that much and you still need a main Sky sub for it.

Doubt we'll see anything other than BT sport properly on Xbox.

They've royally screwed up and they probably know it.

I've checked my internet speed and it's about as quick as normal, so that's not it.

Pretty surprised about no night racing tbh, they aced it with FH on the current gen so was expecting it on the next gen. Weather they haven't done before, so wasn't really expecting that. Debris and dirt is pretty cool though. I have to say - and I always do when a new game/console/franchise is released - is that this is the first time they are doing something, so no doubt they are testing the water with what they have with the first game, and then improving for the sequel. I know FM has been around for 10 years, but it is a new console so I'm sure they can only improve from there.

Whilst I'm a bit disappointed as well, you make a very good point. Look at the step change we saw from FM2 (360 launch title) to FM3. That's not saying that we should all go home and wait for FM6(!!) but that we should manage our expectations accordingly. Having worked at a game developers during the transition from PS2 to PS3 development, I know first-hand how one system can be so different from the previous that, even though you carry over all your previous experience, you still have to take a step backwards and learn the new way of doing things.

I see some really positive features in FM5 which potentially bode very well for people like us who take the online racing more seriously (dedicated servers) and look forward to hearing more about what the future holds for us.
