It does! I like the return to the controls on the plastic connector, like the original Xbox 360 headsets - makes it so much easier to simply mute/unmute while racing

I don't know if anyone saw this... But it has me literally itching in my seat!!! NFS killer?
This has a lot of potential... The gameplay looks alright but it does look like it could be a bit weak.

I think it's from some ex-Test Drive Unlimited developers - it could be what TDU2 was trying to be, but it was very much limited by the hardware available.

As for the PS4, I've heard that online gamers will now have to subscribe to Playstation Plus to play multiplayer online games at a cost of approx £40 per year, they're obviously going to have to make huge improvements to their service to justify that
You get discounted and free games, in addition you receive a copy of Drive club, so it kind of pays it's self off? Party chat has been confirmed don't know how many people can be in a party and quality is always a question I imagine its copy and paste Xbox live on the 360

Having seen all the details for both consoles now, for me, PS4 blows Xbox One away as a general purpose games console:

- PS4 supports used games - you can trade-in, give your game, lend it, sell it, do whatever you want (Xbox One includes a licence that only you can use and can only give once or trade-in through official means)

- PS4 is £80 cheaper

- PS4 does not require an internet connection (Xbox One MUST connect every 24 hours or it turns into a Blu-ray player, you can't play single player games then)

- PS4 has an upgradeable hard drive (Xbox One can't be upgraded).

- PS4 does require PS Plus subscription for multiplayer but gives away a package of free games every month with this (and Drive Club is included free with the sub, so basically free for 1st year)

The only thing it doesn't have is a next-gen driving sim at launch, so Forza 5 is the only real draw for me to Xbox One, and it's far too early to say if it's will deliver as a motorsport game - even GT6 on PS3 is looking more motorsport-focused than we've seen for Forza 5 so far.

Worrying times for Microsoft and Xbox... if it wasn't for Forza 5 it would be a very easy choice of PS4 for me! Project CARS is rumoured to be coming to both though... hmmm

Absolutely true. It would be PS4 Hands down if it wasn't for Forza, and I'm assuming that TORA will make the jump to XB1.

The only thing Microsoft can do now is get out of their own arses and realise that what they are doing is wrong.

In my opinion, to get players to turn to Xbox, they need to:
- Make XBL free
- Lower the price of the console, even by £20, just to balance things more with the PS4
- Obliterate the whole DRM whatsit thing and the always online thing
- Stop being so paranoid that everyone is out to steal their stuff
- Wake up and smell their burnt bacon.

Like Magic said, the only thing right now that is swaying me to XB1 is FM5 and Halo 5, the fact that Kinect comes with the console, and the fact that XBL is better than PSN. PS4 has no exclusives that would make me want to buy it more.

Price is no object here as I'd probably end up getting both consoles eventually anyway.

GRAN TURISMO , God of war and killzone are quite attractive to me atm .

i think the deciding point will be what FM5 actually has with its car and track list plus the day night cycle.

Microsoft must be breathing a BIG sigh of relief that GT6 is on PS3, not PS4.

If Forza 5 doesn't have day/night or weather and doesn't increase the number of cars on track from 16, it's not really any improvement even over GT6, which is not a good sign for a supposed next-gen game. Time to deliver Turn 10...

Depends if GT6 is one of the 'backwards compatible' PS3 titles that can be streamed to the PS4.

If it is then it could make things VERY interesting.

It will probably work (from 2014 when it's introduced) as PS3 games will be streamed on PS4 via Gaikai technology. But there will be a latency delay (typically 100-120ms) as the game runs on a server in the cloud and then sends the video back to the console. I wouldn't want to play a racing sim with that sort of latency between input and movement on screen, I tried it with OnLive and it felt like treacle, everything reacting slightly behind your inputs!

That was just media briefings yesterday, now we should get reports from critics getting their hands on the games now for the next 3 days. Plus there will also be other briefings from developers letting us know what each game is capable of ie how many online for Forza 5 etc.

They better show more! Surely they'll have a demo version for people to play on the E3 stands?

Think we're all ignoring the big elephant in the room too - the PC. Seems little points spending best part of £500 on an Xbox One (game/headset/etc) when the same amount will buy a great PC, that will play tons of racing games, plus most of the new Xbox One games too - Battlefield 4, even Titanfall is coming to PC next year as well as Xbox One. The PC could quite ironically be just as big a threat to Xbox One as PS4 is

Doesn't Forza usually show a bit at E3 with some fancy new thing (this time the cloud based Drivatar) and then start trickling out info up until release? Would have thought they would have released some info like day/night and weather as it's kind of a bug deal.

TORA will follow what the community - and of course ourselves - wants to play, we started on Forza 2 and it grew from there. I can't see the entire Forza based community disappearing from here and jumping ship like that.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens at launch. As we have said we will support Forza 4 as long as we deem suitable, and see where the community sits. It may be the case where we really have to try the push and have TORA split properly into console specific areas, and run a large amount of races on a variety of platforms. Personally I am looking forward to rFactor2 more than anything, CARS is coming fast and GT6 looks incredible especially with the inclusion for some real GT3 machinery.

It also depends on what happens over the next few months for us which may make some decisions.
