Re: Championship Discussion
I basically did the same thing to moobs at bridge. Got a really good run up his inside and was right beside him when we started to turn. I didn't call out my position and slighly lokce dmy brakes making me miss the apex. He turned in and went shooting off to the side. Was my fault and I apologize. Looks like the same thing that happened there.
Re: Championship Discussion
I am not going to say anything
Was reali good fun last night.
I think the car seem reali well balanced, yes it does seem abit of a ferrari fest at the top but 3 of the "faster" teams are runing the car. I would like to think no matter what car i was in i would still be in the top 10. I spent a while tuning that car and was pushing very hard, just hope i can go faster on race night. All the times did seam realy well Balance, apart from the WWR top 3 every was inside 2 or 3 seconds of everyone, rangeing from the Top drive to the slower.
Looks like it will be a good season to come. WWR 1,2 and 3 every race, with everyone else fighting for 4TH and 2ND in the teams
Just hope i can have a better start to the season than last year.

Re: Championship Discussion
I honestly do think that all of the 660 cars need to come up to at least 670. There is a very clear split. The first half of the lobby is all 680 cars whereas the second half is mainly 660 cars. I know some of cars are 680 so maybe thats when this driver skill comes into question. But for example I raced against a few 660 cars last night. In the corners we both carried the same kind of speed but on the straights my car simply drove past them. They are just a bit too slow in a straight line. Maybe we need to wait and see how things pan out when we get to actual racng, but I think International is more of a twisty track which should have suited the 660 cars better and it didn't. Maybe even the slower 680 cars need to be brought up to 690 I dunno, but thats just what I saw last night.

Re: Championship Discussion
Totally. It was kind of hard to say, but there was a clear difference between the 680 and 660 cars yesterday. I mean, I worked my butt off to get a laptime close to 680, only to have that laptime beaten, and I know that I'll never get that time again unless the whole field wreck themselves again. I was great in the corners, but the 660 cars I've seen were a joke in the straights. The field tended to get pretty spread out after awhile, and I have reason to blame 660. I know 5 PI wouldn't do much, but Id be fine with 5 PI at least. Just something to help bump up the 660 where it needs it. Definately something to consider after last night..Richy59 wrote:I honestly do think that all of the 660 cars need to come up to at least 670. There is a very clear split. Re: Championship Discussion
Yeah all the 660 cars need hp boosts rather than grip boosts. I know the viper has road tyres on it but I drove one this morning an dit had teh same level of grip in the corners as my ferrari. It was just so underpowered I felt like I was hardly moving on the straights. The major point I notice dit last night was when I was racing against crisis' porka and he was a bit in front of me coming out of the last corner and I passed him before half way down the start grid. To slow in a straight line but he managed to close the gap a wee bit in teh first corner and then I moved away from him quickly by the senond corner. I know there are some people in 680 cars who were slower than some of the 660 cars but maybe thats where this equality in the PI that is seen in the TLMS need to be applied and bring them up to 690.
Re: Championship Discussion
richy, i was running race tires (because apparently we have to but im not complaining) and my downforce set to minimum, and still getting passed on the straight i still had fun though, but theres only so much you can do powerwise with a sport transmission
Re: Championship Discussion
Ah right ok. The last time I saw anything about the viper they said Road tyres were ok so I just used them. Still, and extra 10 pi worth or power should make it a bit more even on the straights.

Re: Championship Discussion
oh yeah, i was trying to say it was for me going down the straighs because of the race tires. i agree with what you said

I dont want to point fingers, but the i'd say that was caused mostly by the ferrari turning into the vette- the ferrari def. had a lot more room to turn than that

Re: Championship Discussion
After seeing that I can't believe there was so much whining and bitching over it in the lobby last night. If thats how people go on about a door to door tap, whilst hotlapping, in a pre season test...god help us.

Re: Championship Discussion
Its alright, they aren't talking about you Burnout. From what I was told there was a lot of back and forward shouting and swearing in the lobby just after the crash, not on here. Thats what they were referring to, your entitled to your own opinion and they aren't saying anything about that.

Re: Championship Discussion
I was using stock tires yesterday as well on my Viper and I was as happy as I can be with it at 660. You would expect it to be faster with race tires, but i was really hyped on those stock ones and running considerably better with them. Now, I can live with race tires, as its mandatory for all series (Basically) but the 660 cars really do need some PI bumping (No, you dirty minds) if they are to remain competitive.
Re: Championship Discussion
question. seeing this sunday is Easter, some of us wont make it to the GT3 event. i would rather not miss an event, but im almost positive 3pm EST, i wont be home to race. would it be possible to postpone this event, or push the GT3 schedule back a bit

...im a bit gutted that this event will STILL happen tomorrow, ON EASTER DAY. it'd be the Evening for you guys in Europe, but sheesh. show some concern for some of us in different time zones. id rather not have to use this race as my 'drop race', but now have to use the medicore points i scored at Road Atlanta....

Re: Championship Discussion
I know, it sucks. LMS is run on Mother's Day as well and I'm not gonna belittle or ignore my mommy to play video games for over 2 hrs.. I just wish TORA took these holidays into consideration, regardless if everyone celebrates it or not.DMR SWITCH wrote:...im a bit gutted that this event will STILL happen tomorrow, ON EASTER DAY. it'd be the Evening for you guys in Europe, but sheesh. show some concern for some of us in different time zones. id rather not have to use this race as my 'drop race', but now have to use the medicore points i scored at Road Atlanta....
