My point was that if every driver is cautious, this will not be a problem.

Better to be safe than sorry, no?

Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
Someone mailing me a free Fanatec, winning the lottery, the US winning the World Cup, and me not sticking my foot in my mouth have a better chance of happening than everyone being cautious. Has any lobby in any series went without incident yet?
In a perfect world I'd love to not run a speed limit but even in a real race there are pit speed limits so drivers don't smash the other cars and kill pit members. Sometimes it helps to protect the idiots from themselves.
You have people who don't even practice for the races every week, this pit is a nightmare if you've never done it before. You make them go 60 and they'll be okay.

Chris wrote:The track is bounded by the white lines. The prohibition of cutting, or gaining an advantage by running outside of the lines has ALWAYS been in the rules.
When racing you must have at least one wheel "on the track" or in other words, inside the white lines. Cutting the pit-in lane is another example of exactly that - gaining an advantage by taking an "alternate route".
This is not a rule change, it's an advisory message to forewarn people.
Are you saying that next time you'd prefer the penalty without the warning?
Can I draw everyone's attention to the rules above in Ref to the exit of the last corner. In nearly all practice sessions I've been in, the majority (not all but most) have completely crossed the white lines off the circuit to use the run off area as the racing line.
Penalties galore

Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
You can go over the curb with the left out side wheels and still remain with a wheel (right) on the line, but most people I've seen are completely crossing over (all four wheels over) the line

Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
Thats a racing line what is not a racing line, 95% of the time you will go over that line, Advance note I dont think I will issue anything if you run wide onthat section
Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
I also feel that maybe this will be a good thing to do before meetings just to check on things etc
Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
The use of that line on the exit of the final turn ought to be self-policed.
The vast majority of us won't use too much of it. The bump in the middle of that unsettles every car I have and it's just not that beneficial to be out that far IMO.

Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
Yeah there isn't much advantage from it, I never really even touch the kerb there anyway. But I don't really have a problem with it.

Re: ISCC Meeting 2 - Advisory
hang on, rules are rules. do we use them or not?
We can't start saying forget about the rules for this bit on this track and this bit on that track, where's it stop. White lines are there for a reason. simples
