Re: 24 hour le man
@Louis - Your right, sometimes we get things all hyped up and we end up with only a handful of people, but people seem to be getting more in the mood now. Nicky is right though, a prize as an incentive would help, especially if we opened it up to more then just TORA, but remember these prizes aren't coming from sponsorship.
@Stonwall - That's a great idea and 16 player lobbies would be a huge benfit to an oval series as well.

Re: 24 hour le man
1 more thing on the indy car thing, we can carry on with an indy car series if Forza 4 has indycars in it.

Re: 24 hour le man
It would be awesome, but I doubt they will have Indycars in the game. They have said in the past they can't do open suspension.
Re: 24 hour le man
right anyways so far for interest i see 4 of us (stonewall, nicky, richy and myself) so 4 people isn't a great number thus far but keep asking around i guess and see what we get.

Re: 24 hour le man
Once I start up an official thread we will get more interest. The Staff will race in it, and I'm sure many of our regulars would be up for it. Maybe the VVV and EZT guys could get a 4 man squad together as well, and could have drivers from both time zones taking different stints to make it easier on people overall.

Re: 24 hour le man
wait are we talking about a 24 hours or a 2.4 hours?
and
I had an idea the other day someone said about the silverstone 1000km test there, we could do a sunset infield long haul race but with an added bonus.. . . the winner, something like Nascar Las Vegas gets a big purse or cheque race. something like the "million dollar race"

Re: 24 hour le man
I´m a bit interested in running the 24 hour race at Le Mans if there will be one. But it all depends on when the date for the race is
If I would participate in this race I would need a team And not a team that quits the race just because of a lagout after 25 minutes which would mean we would be a couple of hours behind the lead. Anything can happen and the other teams could also suffer from lagouts. I´m commited to finish the event, even if it looks bad already a couple of hours in It´s all about pace and not getting damage on the car.
So if a team needs one more driver, just give me a shout and I´ll definately think about it. I can run any class but I´m usually quicker for example in P1 or P2 cars than in GT2 cars

Well I'm trying to get a team of drivers for a Pug 908 if you're interested.

I believe you can run an Evora GT2, but I think you'd have to run it in the Jetalliance colours that were run in the real deal.

Re: 24 hour le man
mmm the only problem is if you do paintjobs that are exact to le mans that you will be seriously lacking cars, like the ferrari 458, the vette and the v8 vantage, which are sorely needed to be GT2s in this game. . . .

Re: 24 hour le man
The best way to do it is to simplify it down to two classes, LMP and LMGT.
With LMP, just let any prototype in. The Porsche RS Spyder, uinrestricted, would be a nice addition and could challenge the diesels for the overall win, as would an unrestricted Lola Mazda.
GT would be best done as the current ISCC rules.

Re: 24 hour le man
When we do this we will be using the ISCC car list as we know it is well balanced. For this event, like Sebring, you will not be forced to drive the car your are currently entered into the ISCC with. It will be open choice. I will also be limiting this to 8 teams so we all stay in one lobby, unless there is enough demand for it and we will run multiple lobbies.

If we unrestrict the Porka the Diesels would struggle to keep up.

Re: 24 hour le man
A couple of questions:
Paintjobs: Can we have custom paintjobs or do they have to be strictly the same as the current Le Mans of 2011?
Stints/drivers: What limit of drivers can there be?? I have currently 2 drivers with another available but I could have another which wopuuld equal to four so I just need to know the limit. . .
thx

Re: 24 hour le man
You can run any type of paint you want, as long as it looks like a believable race livery. This can be a custom paint or a Le Mans Replica.
There will be 8 3 hour stints. Limits of drivers would be 4 per team, but if someone really wants to run the thing on their own for 24 hours that is their decision. If there is 2 of you, then you can split it into 6 hour shifts etc etc
