The Thrustmaster TX is the best wheel base on the market, ideally you'll need to get the GTE rim and pedals.

Fanatec's wheel for Xbox should be the Clubsport V2. New servo motors, etc. but it's big freaking buy of €600 for the base alone if you don't have a Fanatec Loyalty Code.

Unless you are a hardcore max sim racer with cash, I'd go with the TX. (Coming from a CSW v1 owner)

One thing I noticed, I'm not a chase view guy but the pCars style seemed to just skate across a separate plane from the track. There appeared to be no dip or sway that I've seen from FM games.

We have guys that plays GT6 and has mentioned a similar in GT6 compared to FM4..

But again that could be a lot of factors, but we will never know till its in hand.

I think the BTCC BMW and Ford is in the carlist, so all we need now is a few more hopefully in a dlc pack to get a touring car championship started on there!

http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/inside-project-cars-seta-tire-model/

Some thing regarding the tire model

"The tread simulation used in Project Cars is a finite difference simulation of the contact patch, with the tire tread “flowing” through the contact patch. The whole tread itself is discretized into elements much like the carcass, but the contact patch itself is a finite difference grid.

Features:

Flash Heating, which is the change of temperature in the outermost rubber layer through the contact patch.
Componentized grip model. Each component is affected differently by road surface conditions, wetness, and temperature.

Deformation – the rubber deforming in and around asperities, resisting sliding motion.

Adhesion – the rubber bonding to surface rubber and material.

Tack – the sticky tacky grip you can feel on your shoes when walking a rubbered in track, related to adhesion.

Tearing – the ripping of rubber from the tire

Cut – grip from the geometry, edges, grooves, and siping of the tread, with particular effect in dirt and gravel

Tread channel depth and water handling.
Discretized and temperature sensitive wear
Curing
Temperature sensitive elastic properties
The carcass and tread simulations are coupled such that there is no roughness or “stepping”, while still preserving the detail of both simulations. The contact patch size, shape, and pressure distribution is determined by the carcass simulation and is used by the tread simulation. The forces on the tire from the road surface are simulated in the tread simulation and transferred as external forces to the carcass simulation.

Features:

-Elastic behavior changes with speed, temperature, and pressure
-Rolling resistance changes with speed, temperature and pressure
-Sidewall buckling at low pressure
-Bias Ply, Radial, or Hybrid construction
-Gyroscopic Effects
-Dynamic response such as vibration, telescoping, and twisting.

Hello Spectator mode. Hello indeed.

I'm in your series, snapping some pictures.

F.A.Q Time!
Q: Can I use your photos for articles, avatars, signatures or wallpapers?
A: All photos I post are welcome to be used by the community as they so wish. Give credit to your sources and spread the word.  Cool

Q: Why isn't my series included in your photo sets?
A: The reason behind that could be a couple of factors. Either 1) Said series has no replays for me to find on the storefront or 2) I'm busy. No worries, I will get to your series asap.

Q: Where can I find the link to your Flickr gallery?
A: Many ways actually. I normally Hyperlink the galleries when I post in said series, or one can click on the Flickr Icon when I post around the forum. I should also point out some of those photos are posted on the TORA site Gallery  Wink

Several posts over on reddit are stating that game has been delayed until March.

Obviously nothing official yet, But I hope it isn't true.

Seen the same. The reasons make sense even though there's not much 'direct' competition outside of Driveclub really.
If, however it gives them a little more time to fine tune and make it even better for us console users then that's all for the better.
They are trying to achieve a lot and there's a heck of a lot of expectation on them given the competition they are trying to gun for.
I can't wait for March Smile

It'll be 1:1 in everything besides graphics from my understanding, and even graphically they look fairly similar to the point where you can't tell the difference.
