Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
That was my first TORA race and I really liked it. Great fun and close racing!
Well, my Toyota Altezza had good top speed and handling but I missed some acceleration.
In general I think all cars were competitive. I’m not sure if FWD cars were disadvantaged. Some were really fast. Ok, but with 5-10 PI boost we will see more FWD cars at least.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next race event.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Right, I've been having a look and I think the biggest thing against FWD is that they understeer more then the RWD and can't quite get the power down as well out of the corners. I think a 5 PI bump on the FWD cars will help a bit, but I also think I will increase the weight limits of RWD so that they aren't so light. My RWD cars that are good are the ones I have managed to get really low weights in.
If I make the weight on RWD cars 2600-3000lbs do you think that will help even the cars more? It just means the RWD cars may get more power and risk being a wee bit fast on the straights.
FWD weight limits will remain the same.
EDIT
Forget that, it eliminates half of the RWD cars I have and ones I want in this series. I could make the FWD lighter instead?

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Because I like the idea of mixing them in with each other and having a field full of them.
What I have considered doing is having everyone on the track and still racing for overall positions but also have a FWD and RWD championship within that so people in each type of car can still race one another even if they can't keep up with some others on track.

How about 235 or 245 tires, or maybe even front adjustable downforce on FWD instead of PI or weight?
I'd think that tires would help the FWDs leave the corners a little better, but I don't think that many FWD cars have the option of going that wide, so maybe Forza front splitters would be the answer.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
I really want to stay away from using nay Forza Aero parts as I want to keep them looking really standard but it may help.
I think for the next event I'll put the PI on the FWD cars to 480 and they can run up to 245 tyres all around if possible. Some of the RWD cars do run at that sort of level as they can't go lower so that should hopefully help the gap.

Okay, but I have a feeling that at 480, the 99 Civic may join the naughty list. I have a couple new Mazda builds I am planning on trying out anyway
