Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
So... is the 99 Civic legal or not? Selective points out its not on the "approved" list, while Richy says it is not on the "banned' list.
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
As long as it fits in the rules, and it's not on the banned list, you're good to go.
My RWD Del Sol isn't on the car list, but it fits within the rules. So yes, the 99 Civic is legal.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
However as this is a test event and if a car is found to be to quick it will be taken out before the main series
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Yeah, exactly. The 99 Civic and Del Sol are ok to be used as long as they fit within the rules. I'll add a banned car list at the bottom of the legal one. If anything is stupidly quick over the course of that night then it will get added to the list.
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
And, if I recall correctly, no FWD-to-RWD conversions?
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
can we make the cars have more power, but still maintain the sport tyres?

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Not at this time, the idea is that these cars are lower classed and slower than the TCC cars. They are supposed to reflect cheap to run Clubman cars. Having this power and weight limit should hopefully give us some close racing.
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
what about when we run this class for the N24 then.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
I want to participate in this event with a mercedes 190.
I've put it to 460 but:
power is 182 kw, is that the same as hp?
rules says 200-250 hp.....

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Brake horsepower – or bhp – is the most widely used measure of engine power alongside PS (see below).
Unlike ‘horsepower’, which refers to an engine’s total output, brake horsepower only looks at the amount of energy left once other parts like the gearbox, alternator and water pump have all been powered. It's measured at the road wheels, not at the flywheel.
Powerful engines have a higher bhp figure. For example, an entry-level Toyota iQ has a 68bhp engine, while a supercharged Jaguar XF packs 503bhp.
PS explained
Though it’s still commonly used by carmakers, PS or Pferdestärke (horse-strength in German) was actually replaced by kW as the EU‘s ‘legal’ measurement of engine power in 1992.
One PS is about 98.6% of a single brake horsepower – the two are virtually interchangeable, and PS is sometimes referred to as 'metric horsepower'.
Measuring power in kilowatts
You may see some carmakers quoting the power of their engines in kilowatts – especially on the Continent – but this measurement is used far less frequently than PS or bhp. A kilowatt (kW) of power equates to around 1.34bhp.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
So, essentially, take your value in kW and multiply it by 1.34 to get it's value in bhp.
Or, alternatively, switch to the barbarian units in game, i.e, the ones that we still use in the UK and the US..

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
I know this idea is a bit late, but instead of the car's age, HP, weight, and not being TCC approved, another way to reflect real world low cost racing would be a cost cap, such as 10,000 Cr.

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Another question by me:
I see that the race gearbox isn't allowed.
But the sports gearbox we can use it?

Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
yea 3 car set ups are allowed if they all fit within the rules, I often as do many drivers have an aggressive quali setup followed by a race set up etc

Actually, I meant the cost of the car itself from the dealership, seeing as upgrades are free in most instances now.
Then use the PI system from there to equalize the cars.
Re: TORA Clubman Cup Meeting 1 - Rules & Discussion
Some questions:
1) I'd like to use the Toyota Altezza. Is it ok, if I keep it in the power/weight range?
2) The Altezza has an option for non-adjustable rear wing which looks quite similar to the Forza aero. Is it allowed?
3) Is Race Rollcage mandatory or can I go without if the car feels better then?
4) Where can I get a vinyl group for the TORA logo?
Thanks!

1 - Yeah that's fine, I checked and it fits in the rules.
2 - Yeah, as long as you don't use any adjustable aero then any other parts are fine.
3 - Its mandatory for all cars.
4 - I can send you it if you send me an FR

ABS, STM, Auto Brake, Auto Gears and assisted braking/steering will be banned. All others are optional and you may run them if you wish.
Updated OP with assist rules.
