ACO met apparently yesterday to discuss GTE BOP (balance of performance)

Nothing has been done to the Ferrari 458's or the Corvettes/Vipers who are running slightly heavier cars. However the Aston Martins have been given 15 kg of extra weight.
and the Porsche's 991 AND 997 in PRO and AM class have been given 3mm extra air intake filter more.

Not much news I know but its something I guess.

Why are they adjusting an already competitive GT class when they should be finding ways to even out the LMP cars?

Because Porsche have been on the back foot this season and Aston have kinder had the dominant car. However I know Ferrari won at Spa but I don't blame the ACO making it even more close for there big race of the year.

Even if Porsche got 3mm of extra air intake its not like there going to be competitive. Hilarious

This changes means that a LMP BOP meeting should follow. Nothing will be done in LMP2 because well its balanced.

LMP1 definitely needs to be looked at. The Audis and Toyotas need to be more on a level playing field with the Lola and HPD.

That will never happen. ACO like them too much.

Audi/ Toyboata is a Hybrid and has a KERS system. Which the Lola and HPD doesn't have however if and only if the stupid amount of space ship cars have issues the pace that rebellion have will easily take a nibble out of Audi's bubble.

LMP1 in itself has two defacto classes: Big Money and No Money. Guess who wins?

the ACO already addressed this by letting the privateers have more fuel and slightly more horsepower back in the winter.

I don't think they CAN do anything, tbh

Wish it was more of a balance of performance other than more fuel so they'd actually be racing it out rather than just from strategy. But still, brings them closer I guess

Yeah but changing restrictors could totally fudge up Toyota's plan. Especially this late where engine maps and stuff have probably been finalised.

The extra 2L should give them 1 or 2 extra laps over Audi, who in turn can run faster if they choose. Should make for a very interesting race!

Rocky went off at that section between Mulsanne and Indianapolis (downhill, narrow, near where Dumbreck went arse over tits in a Mercedes).

Porsche will do probably nothing come Qualiflying/race in both GTE classes. Mad
