with 3 weeks to go until the race weekend, i better post some rules.

RACE DISTNACE
88 laps total racing- 44 laps each stint
stint will last around 1 hr 30 minutes for GT300, quicker for GT500 (+/-3 hours total racing)
stint 1= 46 laps (warm up lap and time gathering lap at the end)
stint 2= 45 laps (time gather lap at end with 1 sec roll of delay at beginning of stint)
max 2 drivers per team, one each stint.

SCORING
how it will be calculated: at the end of each stint, everyone will gather at turn 1 having recording their times as they cross the line. these times will be taken down and the time for the pace lap will be taken off. by this, if stint 1 takes 1 hour 36 minutes, and the warm up lap takes 3 and a half minutes, the finishing time for this car will be 1 hour 32 minutes 30 seconds. this is then repeated again for stint two (but minus the warm up lap time) and the two times will be added together with the lowest time across both stints wins, every car will finish if within 4 minutes of the first GT300 car (as seen in the distance ahead metre).

if someone does not finish within the 4 mintes, their time at the end of the current lap will be taken and they will be behind how ever many laps they were at the finish of the stint (unless they finish eg 4 minutes 12 behind the GT300 leader), and this will not be able to be brought back unless every other driver finishes the same number of laps down in the second stint.

QUALIFYING
Collisions will be OFF, limited damage, 6 second roll of delay.
session will consist of 7 laps, 1 warm up lap, 6 flying laps, and at the start of lap 7 everyone will meet at the first corner for times to be collected.
Clean laps take precedent over dirty laps, a slower clean lap will start ahead of a faster dirty lap
NOTE: either driver can qualify, but to save time, having stint number 1 driver to qualify would save time.

RACE START
The race will begin with a rolling start and parade lap. prior to the parade lap starting, the grid will be read out (as well as in the lobby) so during the parade lap, cars can get in their qualifying positions. This parade lap will be done at 80 mph, until between the corners of 130R and the casino triangle where it will slow to 60 mph with GT300 cars giving a 500-750ft gap to the back of the GT500 cars. After Casino Triangle, cars will form up in a 2x2 formaition with odds on the left and evens on the right. As the lead GT500 car approaches the start line he will call '3..2..1.. GO GO GO' and cars can the accelerate towards turn 1, you are only allowed to overtake the car on the same row as you before crossing the start finish line after GO has been called, no one else. as the GT300 feild approaches the line, the leader does not count down, they just repeat GO 5 times as the cars accelerate. the same overtaking rules apply for GT300 as GT500.

SAFETY CAR
there will be a safety car if there is ONLY ONE LOBBY
If two or more cars have a collision, they must call out for a safety car
If a safety car is called, then lead car becomes safety car at 60mph, any lapped cars in both classes are allowed to unlap themselves and join at the end of the line.

first lap of the safety car is for anyone who is lapped to unlap themselves, and for the two cars involved to pit, no one else, after the lapped cars and involved cars (have pitted) and caught up, the safety car will run for one more lap to allow anyone else to take their mandatory pit stop if they hadn't already.
NOTE: the cars involved in the accident are the only cars that cannot unlap themselves at that safety car,
once these cars have pitted and caught up, then once the lead car gets to the first start line (just after pit entry), then everyone will accelerate, no calling out 3..2..1..GO, or GO, and green flag racing will continue.
NOTE: only 1 (ONE) lap is allowed to be un-lapped under safety car period, so if a car is 2 laps or more down, they either have to push hard to make it up, or hope (not cause) another safety car is called so they can gain laps back.

Conclusion of Race
At the conclusion of each stint, drivers will gather at the first corner for stint times and positions to be noted (as seen in SCORING). Lobby invites will then be sent out (end of stint 1) and the same procedure (minus rolling start) will run. At the end of stint 2, with all times and positions calculated, the results will be posted and winners will be announced with lowest time winning.

Normal TORA Driving standards and Sporting Regulations apply throughout this event as seen here: http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t8957-tora-2013-sporting-regulations
