They are together, it says on their official channel that GTA Online is free with every retail copy of GTA V and available from October 1st. I assume it's an unlock code or something.

Apparently you can switch between your single player characters and your multiplayer character with the character selection wheel.
Also, GTA Online won't be released until after the game is launched and will be added later on with a free patch. Technically, GTA Online is a completely new game all together.

Awesome, was hoping for more players in a world but 16 seems to be what they can do with Current Gen. I hope I get any sort of practice for the upcoming races because I will be on this most of the time

I'm not sure on the details, but I did hear there is a mandatory install anyway for GTA V, plus GTA Online whenever it is released.

It's a 3 min ad they'll use on the web and TV. It'll probably just be a collection of teasers and a few snippets of things we haven't seen before.

You will start seeing things leaked very soon. Sony screwed up and leaked it. Guys who downloaded the pre-order digital right off gained access to certain things and some have the full game and are attempting to crack it. One guy tried over a billion brute force entries to get the key in the first 24 hours. It's only a matter of time.
