IFCA 2014 Season Press Release
After a few weeks of testing, creating, and organizing, the IFCA Staff Members are announcing the first two events of the 2014 season!
First up is a familiar name to the IFCA these past few years: Trans Am. The 2014 IFCA Trans Am Series I features the cars of today’s SCCA Trans Am Series with some of the High-Horsepower vehicles of the previous decade in a challenging multiclass format that every production car driver will enjoy.
The first of 3 classes is TA. TA represents the type of cars you’d currently see in the real series: the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, the ‘10 Shelby GT500, and the ‘09 Dodge Challenger. All 3 of these cars will follow an R3-class build.
“TA is for elite drivers that like to have a lot of hp and good throttle control. They are going to be a handful,” AAR OneShot, who is the series organizer, said about the top class.
The Mid-level Class will be TA1, featuring 4 cars from both here and abroad built to S-class. Those are: the ’08 BMW Z4 M Coupe, the ’09 Ferrari California, the ’02 Chevrolet Corvette z06, and the ’03 Dodge Viper SRT10.
The final, and most diverse class is TA2. Sticking with the theme of familiarity, this class directly uses the IFCA Super Tuner format. In this class, tuners can build cars to a set of restrictions. For TA2, cars have to be A-class, 2002 or newer, rated at less than 450 horsepower, weigh more than 3100 lbs., and have a V8 front engine with rear wheel drive. These caps allow for a selection of 25 cars. This class is definitely for the building and tuning pros of Forza, where odds are that no two of the same cars will be built the same way. An interesting benefit to those who are fast enough, OneShot points out, is that the best tuners/drivers in TA2 could beat a good driver that is drivng in TA1 class.
To maximize the possibility of a full field in each race, each class will be limited to 5 entries until all 3 classes fill up, after which the event may be expanded to 2 lobbies with the same limits.
There will be 4 races in this inaugural series - all of them in the United States. At each event, which will begin on 9 P.M. EST on Fridays starting November 15, there will be a qualifying session followed by a 45-minute race (actual times depend on the track). The race will begin as a standing start, with TA2 going first, followed by TA1 a short time later. TA will begin a short time after TA1.

Our second series to begin the season is brand new and will suit our European drivers. The IFCA will be hosting the 1st Scion FR-S Challenge.
The Scion FR-S, the 2012 Top Gear Car of the Year, is notable for its good handling and reasonable price. Some say that it's only a drifter, but we here at IFCA have made it into a cold blooded, hardcore race car. The FR-S Challenge is a series of grand tourer sports coupés Developed by the racers here at IFCA, with close, competitive racing in their mind and their hearts, This series brings out the best of both and together will provide a range of racing moments that will create memories that you can share with friends.
The FR-S Challenge will be held across 8 different locations, featuring 16 races and a top dog fight for the championship, Who will be crowned champion?, You decide, Bring your car to the track and fight it out with your fellow racers, team mates and rivals.
With regards to the series there will be qualifying held over 7 laps, 1 warm up, 5 flying and a cool down lap to let the organizers take down times. The car itself is a limited build to bring the best out of the drivers entered into the series.
Both of the races at a single race meeting will be point-scoring and will add to your final results at the end of the championship. There will be bonus points for Fastest lap and Lobby win, regardless of which room you start.
The Events will be held Monday night's beginning November 18 at 8:00 P.M. GMT. TCS, STM, and Auto-brake are banned, which will add to the difficulty to bring the best out of our drivers.
The car has minimal tuning due to the restricted build which enables the best of the best to gain the most advantage out of the car and bring a good fight on the track, this provides us with close, competitive, clean and fast racing.

Remember, in order to compete in all IFCA events, you must submit a 2014 Membership and Race Number Application in the Application Office.
These two series will kick off the 2014 season on Forza Motorsport 4. Be sure to keep a look out for our first Forza Motorsport 5 events which will be set up throughout the remainder of 2013 and into 2014.
And with that, we officially declare the offseason to be OVER. It is time to clean your steering wheel or controller, build your cars, practice the tracks, and prepare to race!
