Quakerstate racing pre-press release info
Details started emerging yesterday of a brand new factory supported team coming to the 2009 season.
speculation was rife after three new drivers applied for entry into the second half of the seaon. The roumours were confimed after we managed to secure exclusive details from sources within the new outfit. ' The desicion to enter into the series slightly early than originally planned was purely a tactical move which enabled us to secure signatures of two of the most exciting and talented drivers to emerge in recent years' said our source. 'We had planned an entry for the beginning of next season but with the possibility of losing out on these talented and much acclaimed drivers we had to assemble a package which would enable us to become competetive quickly. The plans for the rest of the season is to establish ourselves in the series and then kick on next year with the invaluble experience we hope to gain.'
'The team originally hoped to start racing next season but with testing at advanced stages and sponsorship secured we started looking around to put the very best drivers in our seats, when we heard that these drivers were available immediatley we had no hesitation to move for them with immediate effect'.
' We are absolutely delighted to secure the signatures of Streetf1ghter80 and Dave percival. Both very exciting and talented drivers coupled with a factory supported team makes for a very interesting prospect. Our third driver Evothreesixty is enjoying his roles both behind the wheel and as team manager. It was always a dream of evo's to run a team such as quakerstate racing, so to drive for them as well is just overwhelming for him' our source reveals.
The official press release is expected in the very near future so keep watching...
