IFCA Trans Am Series 1 (Starts this Friday @ 9 EST, 4 weeks, Multi-class, Forza 4)
The IFCA Trans Am Series is a muticlass event which recreates the glory days of old and the series Trans Am is today.
The Trans Am series, which the IFCA has been running for 2 years, gets a refresh heading into the 2014 season. A new rule this year is that drivers will have 3 classes to choose from: TA (R3-class), TA1 (S-Class), and TA2 (open build, A class). Another interesting point is that after a short qualifying session, the classes will be lined up fastest to slowest: TA2 goes first, followed by TA1 and TA, which creates instant and exciting multi class action from the green flag to checkered.
Series 1 will go to 4 American tracks, 3 of which are the roots of the series, plus a wild race on the Sunset Oval:
All meetings begin at 9 P.M. EST, and shouldn't last more than 90 minutes.
November 15: Sebring
November 22: Road Atlanta
November 29: Sunset Speedway ( )
December 6: Road America
The top 2 classes are all fixed-build and open-tune:
TA (R3): '09 Dodge Challenger, '10 Shelby GT500, '10 Chevrolet Camaro SS
TA1 (S): '08 BMW Z4 Coupe, '09 Ferrari California, '02 Corvette Z06, '03 Dodge Viper SRT10
If you need a quick car before the race, go to AAR OneShot's storefront. If you want an open tune, PM AAR OneShot on Xbox Live a reasonable time before the meeting begins.
In the slowest class, you can build a car of your choice to a certain set of specifications. This format, known as IFCA Super Tuner, has been a great test for tuners over the past few years.
The restrictions for TA2 are A class, <450 HP, >3100 lbs., 2002 or newer, Front Engine, RWD V8). This gives a driver who wants to enter this class about 25 different cars to choose from.
I'd also like to mention that we will be sending the results of all IFCA events to the Forza League Racers, who will be using their rankings formula to determine who will qualify for the 2014 Forza World Championship! Just by racing in this series you can earn races towards the minimum eligibility requirement. For more information about the FLR, go to www.forzaleagueracers.com
Since we are starting small this series, we will have 1 lobby of 5 cars per class. As a result, there will be only 5 openings per class before we start taking a reserve list. As of now, 11/12/13, There are 5 spots left in TA, 4 spots left in TA1, and 3 spots left in TA2.
To enter this series, go too the IFCA website. 1. Get a forum account 2. Apply for your 2014 Membership In the Applications Office 3. Sign up in the Trans Am Section.

Re: IFCA Trans Am Series 1 (Starts this Friday @ 9 EST, 4 weeks, Multi-class, Forza 4)
There are just about 24 hours left until the start of the first race of the IFCA 2014 Season!
We have ONE, I repeat, ONE spot left in the open-build TA2 class. Once this class is full, the options become limited to TA and TA1. There is still plenty of space in TA and TA1 for drivers who prefer to race faster cars (S & R3 class) with specific builds.
The 9 P.M EST event time is perfect for those who reside in the Americas, and therefore, cannot make the British-based times of the TCR Series. Also, the IFCA's version of the series features cars from the modern era of Trans Am racing: the beginning of the 21st century to today.
Remember to sign up for a 2014 IFCA Membership in this section (Read the Help Desk first): Applications Office. After that, read the Trans Am Rules, then sign up for the Trans Am Series here: Trans Am Signups (Highlight to see links).
