TORA PC Racing Championships?

My personal preferences:

GTL/GTR2 - On Steam, fairly cheap, good tracks, can run on a modest system
LFS - Tons of fun, a but more pricey, but definitely more pick up and play, with some excellent physics.
Race 07+expansions - Dead cheap on Steam, a but more up to date, and with plenty of cars/tracks that come with the game. Mods are available too. (CART 95....)

I say we run it quite casually, as a more friendly type series at first, single make. I don't have a wheel I can use for the PC, so I'd be using a PS3 controller initially, but I'd consider picking up a DFGT or something at a later date if it picks up.

I will be in for definite, however would need help getting set up with the sim that is chosen. From there i am willing to help out with hosting or something?

Evening All,

After being away for a while, due to work, and other commitments, I am now back, and I would like to raise the potential of a TORA Championship for PC Sim Racing. I am spent over £200 upgrading my PC so I now run AC....and what can I say...is really really good....at the moment, it is the future.

They have opened up Modifications so there is lots going on, especially I would like to mention the Mazda Mx5 and the Fiesta are in progress. Also we almost have all the UK tracks, so we could represent real life championships, unlike LFS where it is all fictional.

So, just trying to get an understanding, as this Championship would be massive with the AC community, so just wondered, what's your thoughts on this potential?

^ Assetto Corsa has come a very long way since December. More cars, features, etc. Not many variety in tracks right now from the standard game but tracks will become more and more advanced through the mod community.

Physics are top notch. Racing a Lotus 98T on 100% Turbo at Imola is a feeling you can rarely match. (Except for 3 wide IndyCar at Mid-Ohio in iRacing   )

There is Donnington, Brands Hatch, Croft, Mallory Park...Thurxton is on its way and Silverstone is STD track...so not a lot left to do with regards to UK tracks, and there we have a Championship ready to go....just waiting for the right cars

Hi Chaps,

Anymore thoughts about a PC (AC) league / race going on. My server is currently hosting Donington ( the new made from scratch) Croft, Brands Hatch Indy and Brands Hatch GP..if any of you that have AC want to give it a try.
