Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Hmm I forgot about the dropped round (which was implemented with 10 rounds being run in mind). I'm not sure whether to apply it to the 6 we actually ran or not.
Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
I'd say apply it

I don't think that the drop round should be applied since the season was reduced, form 10 races to 6 races. So by not racing those 4 races they should cancel out the dropped round.

Add it. Seems like a few people got shafted by the race being postponed, so I honestly think it should be implemented.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Your call but I turned up each round and made myself available so I think I deserve that place. We've dropped enough rounds as it is. That said I don't care, it was all about the racing for me so if anyone is going to get bitter about not turning up then let em have it.
Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Is anyone bitter about a dropped round? Mojo was just pointing out something in the rules that was not addressed when the series was moved from 10 rounds to 6. With that being said looking at what results would change I wouldn't apply it since it doesn't affect the top drivers.
Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Just an example:
A driver signs in for the Series, he knows that he can't drive the 3rd race. That is no problem because he can erase one of his races for the championship. Now the Series drops from 10 to 6 races. He still can't compete at the 3rd race. Why should he has a disadvantage because of that drop?

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Honestly, I did the math. It only benefits myself and Mamu. Everyone else gets screwed in referring to drivers 3rd on down...
Points are fine as is, because the series has been butchered enough. But that's my opinion.

As it is only Me and soundwave that would benefit I am also happy to leave points as is.
On a side note, if a fresh series could be as fun as the final race (banter and racing) it could really be something good

I agree Mamu, let's hope we can help get the attendance up to.

Definitely. Its such a shame that numbers dropped and I appreciate the cars may not have been 100% balanced but they were close.
I wish people had really persevered with it and provided feedback at the end of the series.
Its no secret the forza 5 is limited but its race series like this that allows future events to be more refined.

I have been considering joining this series BECAUSE of the different cars. I personally don't care if they are balanced or not. If you are focused mostly on winning, then pick the fastest car. (and there is nothing wrong with that!) Personally, I will pick a car I like to drive and just have fun with it. If anything, it gives me an excuse for losing and makes me feel better about myself

Cap, I hear ya. But for the sake of argument, we working hard in finding the BoP for these cars so that they are more successful in everyone's hands next time.
Should be a real battle..

Oh I hear ya! They'd all be 100% equal in a perfect world. Just sayin it's not the end of the world to me if they aren't. (I'd rather have more cars than eliminating cars to balance everything for example) I can't imagine how hard it must be to balance. Even if 1 person tested them all, that person is going to feel more comfortable in certain cars while others dont. Must be a nightmare!

Well we hope to achieve something close, with a rather diverse field of cars that will vary from track to track.

Just for the record, no one left because of balance issues (atleast not on my team). Cars for the most part weren't too bad. No multiple car series is ever 100% balanced in the virtual or real world.
Piss poor attitude by certain staff members and the series being poorly run was the reason we did not return.

I bet they're very sorry now and won't do it again after you showed em what's what by withdrawing from the comp. Just a shame people thought that better than helping out to make the series run smoothly from then on.
I have to again applaud XPR Devil for stepping up and supporting the series rather than letting the pettiness get the better of it. Those who did see it to the climax enjoyed the racing, meeting new people and making new friends. That ultimately is what I like about racing here, it's just a shame that there are some prima donnas out there that feel that it's their way or nothing.

Well good for you , but again it had nothing to do with people getting their or not getting their way, car balancing or anything like that. It was the attitude and atmosphere which was below TORA standards and not the same TORA I had known and come to love racing at. It's not about "we sure showed them".

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
Sorry if my last message was a little strong, I was having a bad day, however I still stand by what I said. I wish people would just stick around to help make things better, rather than just withdrawing. Between us all we could have found a resolution that kept the season running to completion. Like everyone, the admin on here get defensive when harassed, it's just human nature.
Re: MSA TORA GT Season 11 - General Discussion
I guess the 91% of people who dropped out of GT S11 enjoyed it so much they'll be back for GT S12? (107 entries, 10 in final round) - a 9% retention ratio is frankly embarrassing. People didn't leave because they being 'prima donnas' - I can only speak for myself, but I pulled out because I don't like being spoken down to like a 13-year-old child, especially when I did my best to help get the early rounds underway. So I've enjoyed 10 weeks of fantastic racing elsewhere instead, that's my choice - there's plenty of other championships and sims out there to choose from.

Thanks for sharing...
It's great after withdrawing you still feel the need to return and stand up to the injustice of it all. I would like to point out that throwing your rattle from the pram and flouncing off like you did, maybe being talked down to like a 13 year old was the correct thing to do. If the cap fits...
This is solely my views and if you would like to continue site or admin bashing feel free to pm me rather than continuing with this self righteous bull in the forums. I always had a lot of respect for you and your club Magic, you race close and clean and no one can deny that, but in this I think you should just let it go and not keep returning to the scene of the crime adding your two cents worth. You left and I don't think you really need to bother returning to post in this thread. Let's face it you have nothing new or constructive to add so why bother.
So long and thanks for all the fish.

Crack on then, failing that you could always talk down to me like a child so I can flounce off in a huff
