TCR Ute Pro Cup - Schedule, Format and Points System
Apr 18, 2014 - Rd 1: Mazda Laguna Seca (2x14 Laps)
Apr 25, 2014 - Rd 2: Mugello Club (3x14 Laps)
May 2, 2014 - Rd 3: Maple Full Reverse (2x14 Laps)
May 9, 2014 - Rd 4: Iberian Full Reverse (3x14 Laps)
May 16, 2014 - Rd 5: Old La Sarthe (1x14 Laps)
Race Time: 8PM BST/3PM US EDT/12N US PDT
Race Format and Procedures:
Qualifying: "Super Pole" format, where there is just one Flying Lap. Lobby set to "3" Laps, out lap, Flying Lap, then stop in turn one on L3 for time recording purposes. Clean Laps will take priority over "dirty laps" as always.
Race: Three different race formats will take place throughout the series as follows:
Triple Sprints: Three short 12-18 minute sprint races. Race 1 will be lined up straight up via Qualifying Results, Race 2 will be set via reverse order of Race 1 results, Race 3 will be set via straight up lobby points. There will be no required pit stops in the Triple Sprints.
Twin Features: Two standard length races of 25-30 minutes in length with a madatory pit stop at any point between laps 2 and 10. Race 1 will grid straight up via Qualifying Results, Race 2 will be reverse grid of Race 1 results.
Finale Enduro: One single race of approximately 60 minutes. The Race will grid straight up via Qualifying Results. There will be two mandatory pit stops, with the first pit window open at the end of Lap 1 through lap 6, the second between Laps 8 and 12.
Triple Sprints and Twin Features will have a Formation Lap with TCC style time based Standing Start for Race 1, and FM4 standard 3-2-1 Standing Starts thereafter, while the Enduro will have a one lap Grid Lap on a shorter cicuit with the standard 3-2-1 Standing Start.
Team Points The highest finishing driver from each FM4 [Team] will score points for their respective team.
Dropped Round The lowest point round will be removed from each driver. There will be no drop round for [Team] Points.
