Happy Cat Racing - Up Until Now & Into the Future!
Happy Cat Racing has come along way in the 5 months it's been around. It started off with 2 pals just wanting to share a club garage so we didn't have to keep sending tunes. The first event that we entered was the TORA TEC 12H Nurburgring in the BMW 1M, which came to an abrupt end after just 1 stint. Not the best start for an aspiring team!
But we bounced back like all strong teams do, with the introduction of several high profile names in the TORA community we were set to challenge the big guys at both the European GT & The first series of the Spec Cup on FM4. I could have never dreamed of how good the recovery was, everybody put a lot of effort into these series and that surely showed come the closing round of the championships.

In the Spec Cup there were 6 HCR drivers in the top 11 spots, including 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th. A sign of things to come? Only time will tell!
As for the European GT, we finished the series with drivers place 1st, 3rd & 13th. But also manged to secure 2nd & 3rd in the Team's championship which was a real success & something I didn't quite expect when entering.
We then looked on to the 12H Sebring, with the aim of proving that we can do enduro's as well as your normal race format. Team Yamagura became apart of HCR, proving that we meant business as their car carries the number 1 showing the success they had in these long distance events last year. We entered 3 teams, which all made it into A lobby after qualification. It was looking good for us to carry our run we had in the Euro GT into this endurance race, using all the experiance we had in the car before this event.
Once the results had been released it was confirmed that HCR Scuderia had won the race in the GTE Catergory with HCR Yamagura 5th & a lot of misfortune after a promising start put the HCR Traxxas team at 23rd in class.
With Forza 4 still being supported by TORA for the forseeable future we will be looking to build on the success we've had in the past 5 months and push on, with our own website now up (www.happycatracing.forumotion.net) we are hoping to keep striving forwards and we are still inviting people to come and be a part of it! With a lot of attention on what TORA will do next on FM4, we at Happy Cat Racing will be there, fighting with the best racers around to compete.
