Kaido Happy Cat Racing

2017 was a fantastic year for the team. 2016 wasn't bad itself, but we aimed even higher and achieved even more. Now the future is even brighter as we aligned under Alex's Kaido moniker to give us a platform for growth and opportunity. Here is a post looking at this year's successes and also what you can look forward to starting from next year... tomorrow!  

It would be very remiss of us not to open with a word about Ian aka Angelo. He was a gentleman in all denominations of the word, very old-school and enjoyed Elite Dangerous and a bit of snooker when not racing and making liveries....

We're Going East........

We are proud to announce HCR has become a part Alex Reed's Kaido Allstars Brand. HCR becomes a subsidiary of Kaido and will carry the Kaido name and branding alongside our own. The new partnership gives the team an excellent platform for continued growth, development and success whilst also opening up new opportunities bringing HCR closer to real world motorsports.

Alongside our exciting new partnership with Kaido comes a fresh new look for HCR in 2018. Designed by our very own Callum Hawkins (Noodle) our new branding 'Kaido Happy Cat Racing' marks...

Hi all

Id like to start by saying this is far from a goodbye from HCR as a whole. HCR will continue their involvement with TORA and Forza in 2017 and I will continue my position at HCR albeit on another platform.

Starting back in late 2010 on F1 2010 I had grew tired of racing AI and my passion for motorsport as a whole was on the up. I had out of curiosity took to google (as I'm sure many here did) in search of something different. At the time I had no idea organised online racing existed as it was in its infancy and received very little coverage in comparison with today....

As the holiday season arrives, the team settle down into their boxes, wondering what Santa will put under the tree for them, before they attack the shiny ornaments and wreck the tree. Let's reflect on some best bits of 2016.

We had big plans at the start of the year, a full commitment to TORA and TURN (prior to merger) as well as other things and things already ongoing like IndyCar. The journey would take us through the endurance calendar and even a run on ESL. We wanted to prove ourselves but not many predicted the results to come, asserting ourselves as one of the main in-form teams...

Drivers HCR Karma, HCR Skodaboie and HCR Bellmond make up the inital roster of drivers looking to create a presence for the Happy Cats on this great platform.

Happy Cat Racing is a recently created team that has begun to compete with the best teams on TORA, we're now looking for more members to join our ranks. Our main aim is to just have a laugh & enjoy the racing that these sites bring, whether your way of having fun is competing to the best of your ability or just turning up & having a giggle, we can help make the race night more...

Race week is almost half done, quali is underway and the miles have been racked up in testing. The fight for Pole Position will be on the minds of many of the teams in both GT3 and TCC class as they eagerly await the results on Friday. With the race just around the corner the guys at HCR have been working hard to ensure a strong showing for the team in the TCC class. HCR will field 9 drivers in 4 teams using 2 cars.

First of all, all of us at HCR would like to take this opportunity to wish everybody competing in the upcoming series the very best of luck. As for HCR, we quite possibly have our largest amount of entrants into a series ever, let's just hope we have enough Cat Litter to deal with it! With 4 teams signed up we are all looking forward to the close competitive race that we have come to expect from...

HCR have decided to enter this years TORA Le Mans 24hr with an impressive line up! 2 cars to contest for GTE honours and 2 cars in LMP.

In GTE we have HCR Traxxas who are looking to make up ground after a difficult start to the season. A few changes have been made to the teams driver line up. HCR Hamish will lead the team with his blistering pace in the Ford GT, he is joined by TJSteel a driver who's pace has become very impressive in a short period of time with HCR and our newest Driver V4Vendetta83.
Current TEC Champions HCR Yamagura will also run a Ford GT for the race. HCR...

Hey guys!

We're possibly looking for 2-3 drivers to join a 3rd team of 4 with Happy Cat Racing. A car and setup has been developed to run competitive times against the top runners and against our other two teams. There's still just under 6 weeks till the race, but we want to gauge any interest you may have to run with one of the top teams currently competing on TORA, with our drivers taking 2 class wins in the last 3 endurance events.

We would also like to invite any drivers that would like to join HCR for other series. We have a great little community constantly on the up...

The Happy Cat forums have undergone a significant update. A new layout and design, plus galleries and race videos have been added. Feel free to pop along and have a butchers, just don't forget the catnip!

Happy Cat Racing has come along way in the 5 months it's been around. It started off with 2 pals just wanting to share a club garage so we didn't have to keep sending tunes. The first event that we entered was the TORA TEC 12H Nurburgring in the BMW 1M, which came to an abrupt end after just 1 stint. Not the best start for an aspiring team!


But we bounced back like all strong teams do, with the introduction of several high profile names in the TORA community we were set to challenge the big guys...

Last weekend saw the opening round of the FLMS season from Sebring! The 3hr enduro finished with HCR locking out the podium in LMP1 with Motorhead taking 1st Mad Dog 2nd and Bellmond 3rd on FLMS debut!

It was a fantastic event last weekend with some superb driving and huge drama to be seen on the live streams! LMR were untouchable in LMP1 Leading the way from the front. GTE saw our very own HCR Scuderia take 1st place after a close battle with LMR and F4H! HCR Yamagura secured an impressive 5th to begin their title defence after suffering several setbacks with contact. HCR Traxxas suffered from serious connection issues taking them out of contention after a lightning start.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in another great endurance event!!!

On to Le Mans we go

After a long and well fought series the results for the TORA European GT is in.

For the upcoming TEC event HCR have decided to run 3 teams, all of which will be driving Ferrari's. This will be the first race in which Team Yamagura will be racing under the HCR banner, with their expertise in endurance events I am most certainly looking forward to what they can achieve at the first enduro of this season. As for HCR itself, we've vastly strengthened our team since Nurburgring last year where only one team ran, the recent European GT championship as brought us into the foreground of racing on TORA against the best teams on this site & we will be looking to keep this going into...
