Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
If its American championship, how come there is a Japanese Track in the Calendar?
Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
There are 2 (Suzuka & Motegi) and because we were looking to add those two in order to build up the Calender , plus at one point it was named (World GT).
Oh and BTCC runs outside its domain territory too

NASCAR had a round in Canada... Does it really matter?

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Just think of them as flyaway rounds, the British GTs go to Zandvoort...
Very odd that Road America isn't on the schedule though...

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Road America was the candidate for an "intro round", basically a practice/media day before the Series starts to give people a chance to try out the cars and the racing style.
Or may even be a "one-off" Endurance after the series has ended not sure, but it'll deffo be featured.

This'll be fun. Need to figure out if I want to legitimately do it, or screw around and show up occasionally.

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
It's not called the English Touring Car Championship, we're still a part of Britain...for now at least...
Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Unless Scotland goes independent the BTCC is completely in the UK.

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Britain is the island, Scotland will always be part of Britain unless they're planning on cutting off part of the land and moving it. Britain contains Eng, Sco and Wal
However if Scotland becomes independent, they won't be part of the UK. That contains Eng, Sco, Wal and NIR.
So yes, the BTCC would still go to Scotland, independence or not, I'd assume. It's not the UKTCC.
ahem, anyway...

If memory serves; from a motorsport governing perspective, a series can still be classed as 'national' so long as there's no more than two rounds that aren't 'local'.
As far as USGT goes, am well up for this! got a title to defend after all shame there's no Road America, yet anyway, it's my favourite yank track. Hopefully it will make an appearance at some point. Are the times for USGT going to be 7:30pm for qualifying and 8m for the race?

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Normally I do not run a Sunday 3pm EST Series. But seeing as my schedule will allow me to make rounds 1, 2, 5 and 6 I am willing to give it a shot and field a 3 car team.

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
On a serious note, if / when the Circuit of Wales is finished, I wonder which of the current calendar tracks will be dropped to make way.
But I digress, Team HARD will have a 3 car official entry and 1 supported privateer in this, just need to decide which car

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Will Sunset Peninsula be run regular or reverse? I hope we all don't have to try and get off the banking together into that bottleneck left/right chicane on the opening lap... also, will there be a dropped round?

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Also, for at least the first round of this series I will be running a "One for the Boys" livery in memory of West Ham academy player Dylan Tombides, who sadly died today aged 20 after battling testicular cancer on and off for 3 years.
Dylan did a lot of work with the "One for the Boys" campaign, Chaired by Samuel L. Jackson, so it felt only fitting that I run something.
I'd like to urge everyone to get over to their website ( Here ) and to check yourselves out regularly. There's no excuse.

I'll consider it. Talking to a few of my old regulars first time see if we want to run as a group, like the 'old days' of 2012.
