Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Racing for Team HARD ive been to three real world motorsport events for free... ive been to the opening round of the VW Racing cup and british GT at oulton park. Ive also been to silverstone for the same series.. ive only ever been to silverstone via a racing game. But to then go to the circuit for free. And be in the pit garages with the team, it was a surreal feeling.
I also recently went to the BTCC at oulton park free of charge aswell just for racing for Team HARD and doing a few designs and bringing in results. I occasionally have conversations with Tony Gillham and the team drivers like we are friends.
Virtual sponsorship is an amazing thing and i hope that every team can gain some form of sponsorship to race with online.

That's pretty cool Shooter! Now lets talk USGT again before this turns into a gun fight.
We have 3 rounds left this season, so overall, how has everyone enjoyed the championship so far?

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
For the future, sub drivers will not score for you in the driver standings. I saw that the rule was written a little unclear and one driver was confused by that, so just a warning for all of those that plan on getting sub drivers.

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Yeah, sorry for the confusion in the way its written. Essentially, a substitute driver scores points for themselves in the Drivers Championship, and for who they are subbing for in the Teams/Privateers Championships.

If my words where misunderstood in meaning I apologize.. But I was not suggest ing anything to "you or team hard
" persae more of an attitude of never give up, strive for a goal
But if we are measuring are happy places I can't hit the bottom of a tuna can... But I'll bust the sides out... Sadface
My biggest on track endeavor was in A 600BHP CTS-V @Watkins Glen... UNBELIEVABLE
as for the USGT. Though I am not Alien caliber yet... Or ever probably It is a blast racing in BLOBBY

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
I'm loving the series so far (even though I'm new to it) and both tracks I've raced at so far have been fairly short (an average of 1:22 per lap) so Sedona is a nice change to have. It's much longer and with many altitude changes, it brings a large change in the way we have to drive to conquer it. Also, surely it won't be a slugfest if we have the skills to stop it being one?
Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
I am thoroughly enjoying this series so far, and I hope to see GT racing continue here for a long time. Doesn't matter to me what track we run, it's simply another challenge everyone has to deal with.
As for driving standards, I feel racing in Clobby was a blast. Mistakes are bound to happen, and we all own our fair share of them. Ultimately it is up to people individually whether or not they let it ruin the race for them. You can still bank a chunk of points if you finish, half the battle is won in qualifying anyways. Honestly, you'll get more respect limping across the line in 12th than winning (shout out to connor7195 ).
Let's all just give it a good run at Sedona and get lots of practice. Everyone simply needs to remember to communicate and call their passes. Mistakes will always be an issue, but this is virtual racing after all.

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
Personally I have already begun setting up and tuning for Sedona so I, like many others, wouldn't be at all impressed if someone was to suddenly decide to change the USGT calendar just because a minority few don't like the track. I for one am really not a fan of Sedona in the layout scheduled but it is what it is and if wrecks happen then its simply because people took unnecessary risks at the wrong places.
At the end of the day Sedona is scheduled whether we agree with it or not and yes its technical, may even be unrealistic, but do we really want tracks on the schedule that are almost completely straight like a drag strip or oval like a NASCAR circuit? I think tracks like Sedona have the tendency to through a few surprise winners into the mix and may even cause a reshuffle of positions throughout the leaderboard especially from top to middle so yeah keep Sedona, its a proving ground for those who are superbly quick and skillful drivers and those who simply think they are, besides how many wrecks have we all seen on tracks far more easier to drive already this season

Last 2 meetings I have had lag issues but I've still competed just for the points. Cheers for the shout out Mau5.
Here's to another laggy race meet at Sedona

Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
I got completely totalled on lap 3, race two of the last round through no fault of my own or anyone else's, simply an unavoidable racing incident but still carried on even though I had only three useful gears and a car that continually pulled to the left even after two pit stops and the fact that I dropped to 10th place, just never know what can happen to others further up ahead that might gain you a point or two even when it looks ridiculously hopeless at first.
Re: USGT Championship - General Discussion
I understand where you are all coming from. I'm still going to race in Sedona, I don't quit just because I don't like the track as for the crashes during the race, I also agree not to quit. I got a lot of aero damage from a wreck that happened in front of me and I had nowhere to go in C lobby on sunday in lap 4. I still pushed on and managed to gain a few positions after starting in last place. Good racing besides a few small incidents !
