I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong. Was just offering up my opinion on the 80's and 90's F1 cars coming to Forza.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
the update oh yea you mean the one that wiped out the leaderboards etc, forza motorsports dlc is like the maple leafs hopes of winning the stanley cup at the beginning we all dream of what could be but by the end all have is a pile of [Censored] and wasted money on broken promises, and for those that dont know yep i am a leafs fan, and yep i am a forza fan but the recent dlc was rubbish, the updates are worse, i thought when they combined nordschleife with the gp track they would of put in the 2 different versions however all we got was a version that is never used and no gt cars to even attempt to replicate the 24h with!
heres to waiting for another few years for forza 6, horizon will be terrible just like its previous incarnation so we are stuck therefore waiting for project cars to hopefully take us into the next gen for us true racing fans....the irony is though if it wasn't for forza raising the bar with 2+3 then i guess we would never have been moaning about how lack luster 5 is, Rant over now

You obviously missed CQR's latest race night with our nurb+GP enduro, awesome race from start to finish! FM5 is awesome!

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
It was fantastic Chris, a wheel to wheel battle for the first 2 laps of the race between 2 different GT cars (BMW v Corvette) - definitely the best endurance race I've raced in, great to see Forza 5 delivering such awesome tracks and racing

To still be within a few seconds after a hour around that track shows how good this game is when on the limit with correctly tuned and balanced cars.

I didn't see/hear anything about it, I would've been interested in joining in for that if I had.

I'm sure there will be plenty to enjoy on FM5 with the latest releases. We have a mammoth one day even coming up in August that will be well worth getting involved in. Oh, and it's taking place on Forzas 4 and 5 simultaneously

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
I'm about to get an Xbox One within the week. I already have the Forza 5 Limited Edition, but I was wondering if you guys can help me out in terms of general information about the Xbox (setting it up, tips from experienced people) and suggestions on first playing Forza 5 (tips?, better ways to get credits, anything...)?
Any help would be much appreciated and I look forward to racing with you guys soon.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
Glad joining Forza 5 Hands down Forza 5 is one of the best sims I have played across any platform the driving physics are spot on -
Switch to sim steering
Turn all assists off lock in cockpit view then race you will never look back.
If you play forza 4 after it feels like how can I put this a sloth....guys who have been moaning 5 VS 4 dont get physics lol
Gaame has been updated, new AI mode make sure add lots of drivers to friends and go racing

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 5 Thread - Part 2
^ Agreed, the cars feel much more 'alive' and unpredictable, and you really have to learn how to drive each car, you can't just jump in a car and run 5 laps and master it, so it's a more demanding sim.
Also, sign-up to Forza Rewards on Forzamotorsport.net and claim any free credits you can each month (if your Tier 6 you'll get 1.5 million credits per month) - this helps a lot in the early stages of the game when trying to get enough credits to buy cars.
As for the XB1 itself, it just takes a bit of time to familiarise yourself with the new dashboard - if you're getting the model with Kinect, the voice commands are a genuinely useful way to control the system, so learn the basic commands like Xbox Snap Party, Xbox Go Home, Xbox Accept (to accept a game invite), and other features like Xbox Record That (to record a 30 second clip).

I agree with most of this... However, if you are a third-person player like me, I will compliment the third person view, it's SO much better than 4's. The driving physics are a lot different, so it's hard for me at least to go back and forth between them, so I don't all that much. Definitely be on Forza Rewards, and really the quickest way that I got money was just racing online. On the xbox side, I don't really use the voice commands terribly much, but when I do they work well. Hope to see you around online!!
