TORA 12 Hours of Silverstone - General Discussion

Great racing today guys. Huge thanks to everyone involved with organizing this event, I had a ton of fun racing and streaming all day

I'll be honest though, I'm quite upset about the results today. Weaponized had a SOLID run in lobby B today, up to the last 45 minutes when xl IC3MaN412 lx got pulled out of the lobby with DarkGunner as he lagged out. We were guaranteed 1st place in B Lobby, with good potential for a podium, and now that's out the window. It was tough to finish the stream, but I knew it was important to many people, and I will be posting them on YouTube soon.

It is what it is. I know many other people unfortunately lagged out, including DarkGunner, but the timing and the condition couldn't really have been worse.

We'll have to see once final results come around, but I have a feeling we are going to fall a sliver short of greatness.

Just need Lobby A Stint 4 double checked and the results will be finished!

The Corvette was cursed by lag, but still left its mark on this race, which I'm sure was fun to watch today!

Thanks to everyone at TORA for setting up another awesome 12hr series, this was my 2nd one, I wished to of done more than 1 stint but work got in the way, oh well never mind,

I'm really looking forward to seeing the final results, (I thought they might have been up by now) as I think my team has a good chance of taking 3rd spot (hopefully)

Just wanted to add my thanks and congratulations to the organisers, teams and drivers. You all have done a fantastic job and the racing I saw while commentating was world class.
All be very proud.
While TORA now moves lock, stock to the Next Gen, I'm glad we leave Silverstone on such a high.

Just to confirm no nurburgring 12/24hr on FM4?

If anyone was wondering why I was going slowly in stint 5 lobby a with about 30 mins to go onwards, it was because I was too tired to race properly so just thought to stay out of everyone's way but thoroughly enjoyed it, next time though perhaps I wont double stint

Damn connections, we could have had a podium

But on our way we had fantastic fun with many awesome battles. Big shoutouts to HAWK performance, especially Moesavy and The British 1st from LMP. You guys were awesome in stint 1!

BEST RACE EVER!!!!

Fantastic battle with the Team HardOnline BMW driven by Jordan in the 1st stin then a little battle with the Failrace Lambo (you have a really long gamertag and I cant spell it)!! I hope the batttle with Jordan was caught on livestream!!

Great job though.

Knackered, exhausted, ecstatic, proud.

No other words can describe me after the 12h of Silverstone today.

The GT category was full of action, tense moments, nailbiting passes and clever defending.

The TCC was no different.

So I am chuffed with everything that happened last night... I am also glad we had our best ever result here in the TEC.

Thank you to all the hosts, drivers, teams and commentary teams. Without you, this event would've been nowhere near as fun.

Thanks to everyone involved and mostly to Zeta for a wonderful, impressive job. I've seen live stint 4 and I haven ́t enjoyed myself so much in ages following a race commentary. Bravo!

Probably the 2 most boring stints I've ever done in TEC, Mystic was on a mission and nobody was ever going to catch him. Stint 5 was going to be a good one, was on Bellmond's chuff for 25 minutes until I got the worst luck, lag smashed into a wall by a GT which just ruined my car and then had to come to a standstill in the second corner to avoid hitting a drifting kia who had just come out the pits! Oh well these things happen but even if they didn't nobody was going to catch the yamagura team, they were untouchable and definitely deserved the win. Top job to Solar Flare & Nightmare, we put up a good fight and unlucky to TJ and Super as a lag out costed them 15 minutes on track and sadly lost them the 3rd step on the podium!

Really gutted we had such connection difficulties in stint 5 and 6. That costed us a good finish result.
And thanks to all who made this happen and for the good racing in Lobby B.

Now I've had some sleep I can think straight. I really enjoyed that.

The first stint where you don't know how competitive you might be, the much delayed third stint that got me in trouble with my family for screwing up dinner plans, then the surprise last minute sub stint after Newt hit connection issues well past 1am, and the scramble to find a controller that might work.

A bit of man maths and I think the "lastminute.com" MVG Racing Megane bagged 3rd place in TCC. I'm really proud of that result, and couldn't wish to be teamed up with a better bunch of lads.

Yesterday proved to be a real mixture.
Issues trying to connect all three of us at Craft Racing CR into lobby A for stint 3 & failing is something I've never come across. However, we did manage to jump into Lobby B for stint 3 and things went really well! Right until the very end when I lagged out with 13 minutes remaining! Felt gutted.

However, stint 4 more than made up for the disappointment of the previous stint. Would have started 5th if my xbox didn't decide to crash. Which meant that I had to start at the rear of the field (behind all but one of the Touring Cars). But once I had overtaken them, I literally gave it everything I had and it felt like one of the drives of my life. From the rear of the field to third place in the lobby was absolutely epic. Far greater than I imagined. It was an awesome battle with F1 & my team mate Dave and I hope we kept you guys entertained for a very long while during stint 4. One of the most enjoyable races I've had for a very long time.

Wherever our team cars end up, this has been a great effort by everyone involved with Cyber Racing so well done lads for all of your hard work before and during the race.

Many thanks to all of the hosts, Streamers and commentators for making this years race such an enjoyable campaign. It'll be sad to pack away the old XBOX 360 once I've completed 2 of the remaining rounds of the TORA TCC. But this race is one I will definitely remember for a very long time so a job well done by everyone involved! And many congrats to all the teams and drivers who have participated in this event and I hope you all enjoyed the event.

So uh, I'm an idiot and want to apologize to my team.
My xbox couldn't connect to the Internet for stint 1, in stint 6 at the 1hr 45 mark I'd done 180 miles, if I had connected for stint 1, and did that mileage, we would have finished 4th, or even a podium

That's really pis*ed me off :/

It was really funny when you just gave up with Kieran's GT and called him 'F1' for the whole race It's pronounced Keeran for future reference

I had fun trying to get around some of the TCC cars in the 1st stint whlst battling Jordan!!

last stint when i was fighting with Bellmond i had 3 GT cars surround me i was absolutely cacking it but some how i managed get back past 1 of the GT Cars around the corner haha
