Has the 1.6 ever been considered as a spec engine for all the cars? Just curious

It was looked at. It could be a possibility in the future. Let's see how this test season goes.

Just signed up for this, unfortunately I can't make the 14,28 October and the 4th Nov due to being on nights, am I still ok to race on the other 3 rounds? I understand if not, just a side effect of my work unfortunately from time to time.

With this being a test series I hope there is going to be a few tunes flying around the storefront come race day

1.6 motor was tested n tbh it made these cars feel like crap. Plus that's the leader board build in fwds. Every car reacts different with them. Some are great n some are no good which makes cars uneven

As I'm new, do I need to add people for quali/race lobby invites?

My friends list is working again at the moment so hopefully it stays that way and tonight's race can go ahead as scheduled.

But please be aware that it could change at any point. It looks like the formula ford went ahead last night, but only BR Bolland could access his friends.

I'll keep this updated throughout the day, but I'm for one, REALLY looking forward to this test series. EVERYONE signed up is signed in for tonights race , and there's still time for others to sign up. The only car not being used is the Mazdaspeed 3.

Anyone got a tune for the Focus RS? Can't get below a 1:02 with anything tuned by myself.

No I didn't add XPR Devil, I asked/posted in an earlier post, yesterday! That as I'm new on here if I needed to add anyone with no reply! That's rubbish, oh well

I'm sorry you didn't get in tonight freakster, I DID send everyone that was signed in an invite and to those that were appearing offline, 3 invites. If you were already in a multiplayer session, that can sometimes block any other invites being received.

As for adding me, It's more easier for me to add you. But adding me would make it easier to find others.

Some great racing tonight guys, sadly soured by the lag issues. Hopefully next wek is lag free. Other than that, I'd say the cars looked good round Silverstone. I will wait until after race 3 to make any adjustments to cars that need it but at the minute only 2 will probably need any minor attention. let's see what the next round throws at us.

Sorry to the Astra that I had contact with during race 3. Ricky was on my inside and I was trying to leave room, And 3 into 1 doesn't seem to go lol.

Have to say i really enjoyed last nights race. few bumps, few bruises,,,pain in the arse lag that caused hassles and a few pains (felt soo [Censored] for you teq when that lag spike walloped you)

BUT...all in all....a brill nights racing. My first event since getting my Xbone and finally I feel happy with the cash I lashed out for it...lol...ace banter too

Am looking forward a lot to next week. Let us hope all connection issues get easier.

Another note I would like to comment on was the great attitude in the lobby. we knew this was a test series so everyone was patient and in good spirit,sharing information whilst racing hard.... but as clean as possible.

Roll on round 2....I cant explain....I have raced in many TCC events,,but the racing experience last night was just better. I know FM5 is a sham with all its missing,,but the one area am really enjoying is the feel of the handling model. Just feels.........more

lag last night was terrible, for half of race 2 i had bits of cars flying around in front on me like flies... was my first online race on fm5, and i am least than impressed - nothing has improved from fm4 in terms of connectivity at all


apologies to all for the shunt at the start of race 1, i was running abs last night and seemed to forget that fact when choosing when to brake, so couldn't stop in time - as i've only had the game for a few days i thought this would be safer than learning the brakes during a live event!


one thing i am slightly miffed with was half way through race 3, when myself and BG Wumba left the track together at maggots, to which he then proceeded to question my driving in chat - go have a look at your replay fella, i broke up your inside into the corner, and you turned into my rear quarter turning my car away from the apex - and back into you, try not driving through people!

Andy on my screen you went full pelt into him (I was just ahead of you guys), Resulting in both cars off in the gravel. I'm guessing it was another lag incident. :S

defiantly no lag on my game or on the replay, i did make a lunge but that's racing
