TORA Endurance Championship 2015
TORA HQ 27/1/15
TORA is proud to announce the 2015 TORA Endurance Championship today.
Featuring four events across the year, the TEC looks set to be the best yet with new races and old favourites returning on the all new Project CARS race sim due for release March 20th 2015.
The calendar was briefly mentioned in the January edition of TORA Radio on Downforce UK and we are now ready to bring you those dates in full.
6-7th June Le Mans 24
TORA's longest standing endurance race returns on Project CARS as Round 1 of the TEC and sponsored by Race Tech. Expect realistic weather and full day/night cycling as we go twice around the clock at the world's greatest motor race.
8-9th Aug Spa 24
The Spa 24h is the second oldest endurance race in the world. It makes it's TORA debut using Project CARS and with a much anticipated battle between the best GT3 machinery on the market, this is sure to be an absolute classic event.
3-4th Oct Bathurst 12
The Liqui Moli Bathurst 12hrs is fast making itself the 'must attend' race for endurance fans at the start of the season. We are proud to bring this event to the TORA Community for the full 12hrs on one of the world's most challenging circuits.
30-1st Dec Nurb 24
The now traditional season closer, the N24 returns in full day/night and possibly foggy glory! The ultimate test of man and machine around the affectionately named 'Green Hell' would be tough enough in daytime conditions but add the night and the persistent threat of rain and poor visibility and the circuit takes on another character all together. This is one for the mentally strong and those who are very sure of their abilities.
All four rounds will enjoy coverage via TORA Twitch TV and on demand coverage through our Youtube channel with commentary from the TORA team and our friends at Downforce Radio.
Details on car lists and entries will be published following Project CARS' final release.
But that's not all, details on our now annual Sebring enduro will be coming soon for Forza Motorsports 4 and 5 in March. The Silverstone Classic will also return, sponsored by Classic Racing Technology Magazine in July.
Stay tuned for regular updates via @TheReal_TORA and www.theonlineracingassociation.com

TORA Endurance Championship 2015 :: Comments
Great news! But what happened to the Daytona 24 may I ask? Love the event!
You'll see Daytona in time. We're going for favourites in the short term
Well with more GT3 cars coming to Project Cars then it should come to a great endurance race
I hope the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 makes an appearance on the game because that would be epic
Quick question : Does Anyone know whether the Green Hell is linked to the GP track?

Just to clarify, the Sebring FM4/5 races are 6 hours each.
FM4: Continental Challenge on Saturday, Feb 28.
FM5: Superstock Challenge on Sunday, March 1.

We should make a rookie of the year for these major TORA series. There has to be 6-8 new guys each season. Kind of like the Indy rookie of the race and such. Lol - only ribbon I am getting Iron manning these things! lol
will the continental tyres challenge have lmp cars or will it just be GT only.
Continental Tire utilizes the Current Style of cars that you will find on Superstock Challenge, if they stay with the real life series look.

Think "Production GT/Touring Car" level classes.
GS Class:
Aston V12 Vantage
Mustang Boss 302
Nissan 370z
Chevrolet Camaro
Dodge Challenger
Porsche 911
ST Class:
Mazda MX5
MINI Cooper JCW
Ford Focus
Scion FR-S
KIA Forte Koup
Honda Civic Si

as for this dude, not to be big headed or nothing but when i joined TORA i jumped striaght into TCC S9 and finished 6th overall in the standings and i didnt get a rookie of the year i got a few mentions for most impressed driver, but yeah about it, and i got snapped up by HCR as everyone knows we are a "Pritty" quick team but yeah they never done a Rookie of the Year lol i only been here what 5 months or so now
I think TASCAR had Rookie of the year I think Blue Jabber was the last one
RIGHT I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL IF THATS THE CASE WHERES MINE AYE TORA I SEE FAVOURTISM!!! hahah joking :
It's just an idea..... Not all of us are lightning on the track....
Im not lighting im Thunder :/ haha nah joking but man i aint even that quick tbh
Will the weather setup for the TEC races be released to the public prior to the races? Or will it be kept as a surprise to see how we adopt a strategy?
I think it should be quiet or you will have people setting their car up for Wet conditions and it wouldn't be as interesting to see what happens and as your said what strategies are played. (Stay out and hope for more rain or stays dry, or pit in with a gamble)
Will probably be a case of waiting to see what it's like on the game before deciding how it will be used.
Also it will be wise to see how weather and a full grid will affect performance.
Don't want to be crashing the game because the Xbox can't handle the weather and the full grid properly.
