Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
For clarification, what exactly is legal in TORA for The Cut? I'm used to taking the time attack line (4 tires cut but not far enough to trigger the lap penalty triangle), but based on my understanding of TORA's regulations, it sounds like the outside 2 wheels have to stay on the asphalt. Is that correct?

Chances are if it doesn't trigger the /!\, then everyone else will be doing likewise.
Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
If the rules state two tires on the track then that should be the standard.

Agreed. Forza's certification boundaries aren't to be trusted to begin with.

Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
tbh, if people SI 2 the 2 tyre rule within the Stewards and it doesnt dirty your Lap then i dont think theres much we can do tbh, inless it is gaining them significant amount of time, but everyone else can do it, every Driver in FOrza PCars or any other racing SIm will find anything 2 be quicker, and if cutting a track where it doesnt dirty ur lap makes u quicker then fair enough. maybe this is something that the Series Director should take care off himself , but just so yano if it does dirty there laps and there on Grass let us now

Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
One Q: where exactly are we talking? I'd assume turn 3?
If that's the case, as long as it doesn't dirty your Qualifying lap, its fine for Qualifying... however, two wheels better be on the track during Race conditions, especially if overtaking another car.
Note: I do use that as an escape route if attempting a pass in which I run out of track space, but always end up conceding the position when that happens.
I hope that clears things up.

Still in the 1:01's at the moment. Tune feels pretty good so I have to re-look at the build.

Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
Gotten a fair number of cars into the 59.3xx to 59.1xx range on Road Atlanta Club while testing out the car selection, and a PB of 58.940 after many, many laps and tuning variations with the Ram Air. I'm a bit late to it, but I'll share all of the tunes I've gotten good times and stability with in case anyone wants to try them out or compare builds. Should be interesting to see how the balance between speed and handling plays out with the track selection. Road Atlanta Club in particular seems to favor a car that can tank the curbs and elevation changes while still maintaining good lateral grip.

Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
Got a 1:01.9 in the GTO and a 1:01.7 in my Trans Am. Surprisingly, I didn't really have to change my Road Atlanta tunes too much. I just matched the gears to the circuit, then experimented with aero and diff settings. I found a max aero car is easier to control through the infield and has a braking advantage, but does actually get fast enough on the oval and back straight to be slowed noticeably by the drag. A minimum aero car seemed to be trickier to control through the faster corners, but had a good speed advantage on the oval portion and back straight. Min aero seemed to be a couple tenths faster overall if you can control it.
If you want to try out the gearing, check "Gears." If you want the aero and slight adjustments to my RA tune, check "Min Aero." I'll also post the GTO, since I didn't get around to that one before the first round.

Re: TORA US American Iron Lap Times
^ I went the same "drop the aero from RA" direction and dropped a few tenths in the process. Now at a 1:03.495, and know there's more to gain somewhere.
