Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I'm up for a vote regarding the dropped round.
But I don't know if this has been discussed with the British GT themselves and what they think about it.

I'll mention it see what they say about it
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Surely the community should have been able to vote from the get go anyway, afterall it's the community here that powers TORA so it's the community that should actually have the deciding final decision and not any outside influences such as real world British GT or any so called involvement from real world media.
Personally, I feel a poll would definitely be a good idea and maybe one to see if the community here wish to start a series on ProjectCARS should the patch not be available on time ahead of the series launch.

Shouldn't be a big deal if we don't race at night but something to keep in mind during any open practice or qualifying rounds.
Also, in the event of a weather change during sessions like qualifying. Are we permitted to quick return to the garage to acquire the correct tires or forced to enter the pits and change from there?
Been having issues when pitting, and the pit stop sequence is off. Whether it's by not changing to the selected tire or doing things like refuelling. Kinda sucks when trying to adjus on the fly with short pit roads like Oulton lol
There shouldn't be a weather change since they are going to use live weather timing, so i could imagine that they will run P or Q in the same weather as the race and that it wouldn't change conditions during a session. it would be dumb to qualify in the rain and have a dry race because the live weather forecasts rain during the race time but dry for Q. would make things more interesting if you had to Q in rain but race in dry or other way round

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Really looking forward to the first round. Been a while since i've raced online. Last races were probably TORA GT on Forza 4! Fingers crossed it goes well!
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
TopSecret, that what I would like to think would happen but last night we had rain hit halfway thru qualifying. Started the race in the rain and then it dryer up.
So food for thought, it could happen lol

thats a host option for it to change conditions during a sessions, it depends on what they put the progression on. you can have it to be a set weather condition and it not change.

There should be a drop round for sure, TORA has had a drop round in most of it's series to date.

if you wanted to do a name change do you have to do a full entry again?
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
If you want to change your team name just sign up again with the different team name.
Same goes for if you want to change your number.

A drop round in a series is the way to go. We aren't getting paid to race and/or we aren't competing for a prize, so you can take that "realism" aspect out of the argument.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I'm not starting any arguments..but drop rounds are pathetic and only used as a cheat for those that constantly win..shall we use the VAG Trophy as an example. And if drop rounds were to be used not turning up and using that as drop round is a big no zero points can not be classed as scoring points to drop points then points must be scored to drop..also the drop round is a disadvantage to the lower lobby's....…..my opinion of this series is it should not be run ATM as the game still has bugs and no patch as yet IMO it needs to be tested fully not just by the staff we the community should be involved in testing series what is wrong with staff announcing a list of possible series and get all to test then feed back can be given and this will stop all the stupid argument's and comments in the fourms..these series were set out before the game was even released and I saw them being doomed before they were tested..this is only my opinion an everyone is entitled to one lol...

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Thanks for calling my team a cheat again. Quite how your a steward here continues to baffle me. Dropped rounds were part of the rules of the VAG Trophy, it you'd read the rules you'd have known that. Complaint sent to TORA Staff.
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Was running round Silverstone last night and it got me super excited for the Mid season enduro there! Definitely going to be a blast!

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
how will silverstone 500 work points wise for the drivers championship since people in teams can only run one stint? will they get points based on where there team will finish and they both get them points on the drivers championship? and is there any chance silverstone could be double points as its longer and only one race where as the other races are 2 heats?

Dont try and get clever, you said let's take the VAG Trophy as an example of teams using drop rounds to win, there was only one team that won that, so we know exactly what you were referring to. Again. Anyway I'll say no more I've made a formal complaint against you.

Sadly members of your site contibue to abuse myself and my team, accusing us of cheating, I really am quite sick to the back teeth of it.
