Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Well that was an absolute joke. The lobby I was in had to be re-made about 5 times before it finally stable enough to start the event. on top of those lobby issues, I could speak to almost nobody in game chat. Also I had some issues with cars coming back onto the track with traffic on the way and I almost hit two cars who rejoined without looking. Another issue I had was with a car who I was fairly close behind (a couple of seconds) and I know I was closing because he kept dipping off the track. I eventually came within a couple of tenths behind him and I wanted to pass because I was on a fast lap but he was not getting out of the way even though I was flashing my lights constantly. We came to the first chicane and I took the right side racing line, he took left and crossed my path causing a draft wash that de-stabilised my car and I couldn't keep it from smashing the inside tyre wall. I didn't recognise the GT so maybe it was someone new. I think that all players, new or old need to read the rules for passing and racing etiquette because we've got a lot going at once with this series and if you don't know how to deal with the situation, it's not going to help.
In short, this evening has gone like I thought my qualy would go. The sheer volume of new people (especially those who have not read the rules/etiquette) is overwhelming and while new interest is always good, I want that new interest to be safe and ordered which only 50% of the driving felt like. Also it's demonstrated that the game really is not ready for a series like this yet. I will get backlash for saying that and to all those people I say: Shush. I'm going to run in it and try to enjoy it but if lag outs happen or some people don't hear all of the rules and make mistakes, don't say I/we didn't tell you so. I look forward to race night if this is what one qualifying session has to offer...

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
This was disastrous. We tried four times until everyone was in and with their correct cars. 30 minutes passed in meantime.
Qualifying starts and it is an absolute stutter fest. Seriously, it was so bad that it was starting to give me a headache. Along with all the framerate issues, cars "flying" and general instability the chat simply "cut of". I couldn´t listen or talk to anyone.
I apologize if I crashed, blocked or upset anyone in my qualifying lobby but my game was so slow and riddled with stuttering that it was almost impossible for me to put in a proper lap. In fact, I only managed one.
I´m not even going to talk about cars "flying" and lag issues.
This is super frustating and annoying. If races are anything likes this then I´m out of the champioship.
Thank you SMS, your game is absolute crap and you don´t even acknowledge it. I´d rather go back to FM4.

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Have to agree with the post above the quali session was a waste of time for me the frame rate stutter made getting a decent lap time impossible i know its a known issues but i got it consistently during quali at the second chicane and going into the last corner it cost me easily 1.5 secs as I put a few laps in once almost everyone had left and my time dropped dramatically yet my approach hadn't change so its something I'm going to keep an eye on I'm making sure I hard rest everything before so to minimise these issues obviously during the race it wont bother me as much as I wasn't crashing because of the frame stutter.
also the host of lobby 3 last night had the time of day wrong and we had a sunset into the first chicane which made life awkward at times and maybe result in my frame rate stutters as the time of day demands more on visuals.
otherwise lag was very little and driver mainly got out of way in not on laps and lower class was any issues navigating them although race will probably be a different story
I know I'm new so its not going to be like this next time as the series issues get ironed out but I felt a need to at least give you my impressions.

I´m out of the championship, this lag/framerate issues I can not play. I'm sorry if I've caused problems in the Lobby 3.
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
Outstanding action in our lobby tonight.
Great banter and good racing. A few offs for people but nothing sinister and nothing caused by dangerous driving.
A really fun night (once I'd repaired my front end twice!)

Frame rate issues are bad on Oulton. It's a track specific problem in the game. Stick around a bit longer and see how things go at Zolder.

Think the decision needs to be made to follow the qualifying format of this round, could be a late night with qualifying to do before racing......

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I'd like to ask..although last nights race was fun how did I manage to drop lobby's after lobby's were published I saw I was two lobby's up from last lobby but last night I was in 2nd to last lobby..I saw the published lobby's on Saturday I can't of been the only one who saw it...if you publish lobby's you must keep it as that not say ahh let's do another quali cus some are moaning if you screw up quali tough tittys no replays in real life..it annoys me when tora put out rules an reg then some door handle moans so they move the goal posts...all I can say is grow a ruddy back bone an stick with your first decision... I think you may need to look at the msa year book and see how a championship is meant to be run...if you can't find it I have every thing the msa have released for Motorsport rules an regs ask me I'll send it you....

Can i just say something to all GT3 drivers, please remember that though you are lapping the GT4 cars, they too are in a race and it is YOUR responsability to get past cleanly and safely not theirs. So please choose a suitable spot to make the pass as me along with a few other GT4 drivers were caught in incidents caused by GT3 drivers trying to lap us at stupid places on the track.
I know most of you do so this is just a little reminder
Thank you

The only thing with the gt4's in our lobby was they all decided to position there self in the middle of the track making overtaking near impossible...

Yeah but GT3 cars cannot do everything! GT4 cars A) Have to use there mirrors because that's the point of them being there. You cant just turn it and hope everything's going to be Okay . The thing is I will admit I am GT3 & yes I may have made bold moves but the GT4 cars actually seen me. You cant just take the racing line MAB
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
But the rules for multi-class here on TORA is the slower car (GT4 in this case) has to stick to the racing line and that the faster car (GT3) have to find there way around safely.
How can we overtake safely when GT4 doesn't do what we expect. We expect you GT4 to stay on the racing line. Not be wandering all over the shop.

Yeah i understand that and we do, but at the same time you cant expect them to move, some will and some wont. If your not down the inside then the GT4 car has no reason to move. You wait and try at the next opitunity, the cars are fast enough.
For example if your behind me on a straight ill stay where i am lettin you past but if by time i hit the braking zone, if you are not already anywhere on my inside im turning in

Then yeah if thats the case then the GT4 is at fault, im on about the GT3 diving down the inside from nowhere hoping for the GT4 to move out the way

So it sounds like both classes need to give each other abit more respect, i only saw it from the GT4 point of view but if the GT4s are making life dificult then theres a problem

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
I had a case of a GT3 trying to lap me at the hairpin, I would usually drift slightly out to the left hand side (as the racing line suggests) on the exit but I couldn't do that as they'd gone around the outside, in some cases we cannot stay on the racing line due to this, could've been a better a better showing definitely, I'm sure we will all learn from this and zolder will be a better race all round for everyone

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
There are places last night that I never expected to be overtaken at by a GT3 car because it's just downright risky, some were more patient than others but at times it was crossing the line, just using common sense applies here

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: General Discussion
All I did to the gt4s was ram em out the way lol...seriously tho I did this as aproching gt 4 I would franticly flash my lights to let them know I was coming as I got closer I'd flash again if I was aproching s corner I'd back off and let them round and blsdt pass on the straight...I think with lights only the leader of each class should have head lights on least it's not in ruled but its common sence..

I understand that you guys (GT4) cans disappear but when I'm coming out of a corner, I boot it down the not racing line and the suddenly there's a GT4 that's wandered from the racing line to my path and then there's contact and a Very pissed off GT3 driver. I must admit I had it happen, and I dived inside him in the next corner.

Guess What MAB? This is why there are lots of accidents and your in most of them. You turn in on people even if there back quarter of your car. You just don't turn in. Ever heard of Racing Room? The thing is MAB you just told everyone that when there trying to pass you you will be turning in. Look in your mirrors and maybe you wont have an accidents. 😂

Well in my opinion Mark that's a selfish way to go about things, but each to there own and all that.
Also lads, let's not escalate things here. If you want to escalate the messages then do it over Facebook or PM. Thanks
