this is a much fairer way of scoring multiple lobbies

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
In a team both driver score the points for where the car finishes in each stint. There's no advantage to privateers or individuals who 'ironmanned' the event. They score the same way as anyone else.
It's actually of benefit to run a team because you potentially have a steady guy who can rack up the laps and a quick guy who can bump the car up the field later on as others hit problems etc.
If you did the race alone, the pace is likely to be the same and of course, fatigue can kick in etc etc.

TJSteel wrote:because the overall standings would be ruined if some were able to score more than others for this round. The only way to stop that were to give you the score of the car rather than each driver scoring only for their stint.
running both drivers means you both score points for the overall standings. if only 1 drove the other guy would get 0.
which way would you score it? if you've got a better way let me know and I'll do it that way.
If we did score per driver stint then people double stinting would score double therefore beating the drivers that ran the car as a team and then the privateer would have a massive advantage.
as far as I was aware, it was the car that was doing both rounds, with the points awarded to that car being split being awarded to the drivers or drviers in question, eg
Car does one stint...driver who drove it would be awarded.
Car does both stints....both drivers get equal points from the cars outing.
Therefore, its the car that is carrying the points. No advantage would be gained from double stinting. Look at the points,,,they would just get the amount of points the car has won for the round.
If one driver did not drive, then of course they should get zero points for the stint....just as if the same driver who was running as a privateer should only get one set of points for only driving one stint.....if he drove both,,,,brill,,,,he gets the full allocation.......which would mirror the amount of points given to each individual in a team effort. Is it the fault of any team effort that someone has chosen to run solo? no......Is it a fair prediction to give a solo driver the same points for both stints without him actually doing it.....i feel not.....harsh i know but no. How would it be known that they would score the exact same amount of points for the second stint? they may have crashed/fallen sleep/been kidnapped by aliens.......anything during that time......so to just give em the same for both dont feel right.
I feel for the solo drivers, but this round was an euduro round.....2 stints. I fail to see how u can drive one and get gifted the other.
The only way to do it fair i feel is for the car to be driven both stints.....harsh.....but fair. That way no one is being gifted points. Maybe to allow the adding to two different car times together from each stint would be a solution for privateers.....that way they carry the same workload as a team entry in relation to each driver relying on the other to do well to bring up the points tally for both drivers. This would only work for gt3 cars joining with gt3 and gt4 to gt4...if u get my drift.

The points are wrong as I finished 4th in A lobby the 2nd race not 5th. also lobby 2 results only show them doing 1 stint.

Not sure if your aware but if a privateer only does 1 stint they only score 1 stint unless the car they are in completes stint 2 also.
Privateers for this round were allowed to pair up with another privateer for this round only so if they done 1 stint and the other person teaming with them did stint 2 only then would they score for both stints as the car they drove completed both stints.
Looking at the results I can only find 1 instance where 2 people from different teams paired up and this was ROSCOEpCOTRAIN and l0 Flatline 0l.
Therefore if there are any drivers other than these where only 1 stint is completed they will only score for 1 stint.

They are correct. You have to remember that this is an endurance race. I've sorted that lobby so you can see properly
You may have came 4th in stint 2 but after adding this time to the time you set in stint 1 you were actually 5th and only losing out by 4 seconds
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
No place was it mentioned that if you have a super sub you would not get point's for the other driver....

The only solution add times together give points for overall position

this makes sense... it was supposed to be "virtually" one race, not too - otherwise what was the point of the single file rolling start in race 2?

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
I think you find there are wrong as on the live timing screen its shows every one is B lobby that they only done 1 stint.
my first stint 126:28.000
Best in B lobby 127:39.000
That's over 1 minute different.
And I look at everyone overall time and I am still in 5th place.
So if the points are right then how come Fleaver got 100 points for his 2nd race ?

Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
As this was a endurance race the points are done by overall time.
Over all place base on time Time taken
1st BAM Racing Ultimate Driver 2H 43:46.285
2nd LMR Burkett Motorsports 2H 45:10.285
3rd LMR Gullwing LMR 2H 46:44.285
4th Ax4x Yellow Bandit Motorsport 2H 47:16.285
5th Ax4x Marranello Motorsport Team Bentley 2H 47:20.285
6th F4H Racing 2H 47:27.285
7th Happy Cat Racing AMR 2H 48:37.800
8th Cyber Racing AMR 2H 50:53.285
The longest in the first stint in A lobby was 125:38.000 and the shortest in B lobby was 127:39.000 so its unlikely that anyone in B lobby would be in the top 8 overall.

why don't we all wait until all the data is actually in and sorted before saying things are wrong when they aren't even finished

not a bad idea
hidden the sheet until I get all results in from everyone
still a few stints missing
basically the race will be scored twice
once at the half way point and once at the end with the points being given to those with the fastest time at each point.
ROSCOEpCOTRAIN wrote:

This is because you do get points for them. it just happens that stint 2 results haven't been collected for your lobby yet
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
Currently needing data for a few lobbies,
I have results for all but need to know if I've missed and DNF's
Also need the out lap time for the below sessions
Lobby 2 Stint 2
Lobby 3 Stint 1
Lobby 3 Stint 2
I've put the sheet up again to show the times but hidden the scores until I have all results
if you have any data please PM it to me so it don't get lost on the forum

Check again. Not everyone in lobby A completed 84 laps... At around 2 minutes a lap, the team that only completed 81 would have finished behind me.

and also just to add that I still haven't got all the results in yet. I'm still missing the outlap for stint 2 from B lobby so once I know how long it took you to finish your outlap I can subtract this from your total time putting you in front of the guys only doing 81 laps
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT Championship: Results
