Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
I had a few lag issues in race 1 and 3, but trying to hold off Tubbi and Slider in race 2 should go straight into my TORA career highlight reel.
Super happy to be back in low class racing.

Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
The golf was like lightning i was gone in race one 1st by the first corner then away i went 2nd race andy did his usual blocking like a brick wall allowing skodi to fly off but andy eventually left the door open for me to slip past and off i went caught skodi and passed him..race three howevernwas stuck behinde fox (must of took a lesson or two from the schooll of andy blocking lol) got passed eventually but by then the leader had a good gap so u had to settle for 2nd.....shame i wasnt in a lobby i think i might of even been able to give the mighty tubster a race..

^ I may have given the Fox a defense lesson in Trans Am at Infineon, including "what not to do" on the last lap.
Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
Sorry about purposly blocking if I did. My mic is out of commision on the 360. I'm going to transfer over to Forza 6 and the ONE soon so idk if I wanna get another mic. My FTO had NO speed. But it had launch and handling.XP Needa get back in teh garage and see what I can do. Happy to be back in my element of racing. Will say the tracks this season are a challenge

Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
I need some assistance with my setup if anyone is willing to help me. I need some settings for my diff, sway bars, height, etc. I can send you my car if you can help. Thanks!
Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
Tubbi top tip.
Differential : I mostly go with 64%
Sway : rear at 50 front a little less, to cure under steer into corners take the front down slowly until it improves.
Suspension: start off hard and soften front until braking is improved. Rear start hard and soften until rear end doesn't skip about in corners or hard braking.
Rebound quite stiff, helps a nudged recovery (solar😀).
Braking : take the split all the way to the rear and bring it forwards slowly until rear wheels no longer lock up with a touch extra forwards to be sure it doesn't have the effect of a hand brake. (This helps massively when the car is going from a sharp bend to an opposite sharp bend, I also use it with a split second jab to help the car with front loading into a corner that the car may struggle with).
Alignment: front wheel drive cars suffer from tyre temp over heating, this can be limited by set the front camber to 1.2 or more with a toe of 0.2 or more, rear set to camber 0.8 or more with the toe 0.0,to solve some rear end drifting the rear toe can be set - 0.1 but any more makes it move about badly with contact and is difficult to recover.
AND the golden rule: if you can hear the tyres too much and the car is sliding about it will be slow and difficult. Drive the car with more restraint, it will be quicker and we'll see you in A lobby.
Take the time to set the car up properly and your enjoyment will improve as well your race craft.

Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
Thanks Tubbi! Seems simple enough, I will follow your advise. Some of the settings you refer to are not available for adjustment with my particular setup but I will adjust what I can. I am running a tune that I used several years ago with different parts, I increased the weight and took a lot of power out to fit the rules and changed it back to FWD. But I am saving this locally so I can refer to it in the future. As far as seeing me in lobby A, that'll only happen if there is only 1 lobby of racers. LOL I am one of the slower drivers in the slow cars (at least 1 sec behind everyone else).

I'll give you the same advice I give everyone. Try to concentrate more on building a car you can drive easily and consistently rather than something fast over a single lap. You'd be surprised just how far you can get just by keeping your nose clean and your car on the track. It'll also serve you better in wheel to wheel combat (many "Fast" cars can only run one line) and the consistency will also help you lay down a good lap in qualifying (many "fast" cars are inconsistent and can't hit their best times within the 5 lap qualifying format)
Other than that just try to have fun, that's what were all here for!
Re: NAFFCAR Season 2 - General Discussion
Agree with the consistency, and a car that's easy to handle.
I am not a very good driver bit spend ages getting the car to my liking, that and only pushing when it's a good clean (ish) move😀
