I kept it closer the first 2 rounds because the track was shorter so the advantage wasn't as extensive. But all of a sudden at Atlanta it fell off.
Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
I'm not saying it is slow it's just it is a pig to drive compared to the other cars but as soon as it has the tyre width back on it is fine and is at the same sort of pace as the other cars for example I did a test and without the tyre width addition I was nearly a second and a half slower than the Mercedes but when I put the tyre width on I was about equal

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
It also gets me why it was changed before round 1 even took place so really it wasn't proven to be hugely faster. If that was the case I could understand but that's not how it was

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
From an outside perspective this looks like certain people want it there own way (an easy ride if you will) so keeping the bmw behind .....rather than keeping the original build and having another competitive marque. Although I've raised this question before in regards to the Honda which I might add was completely ignored maybe because I'm not in the right group I don't know but if people don't have the tools to do the job right then they will never be competitive. Surely the equipment provided should all be closer in regards to performance eg the bmw and honda in regards to the rest of the pack and where teams will differ is the individual tune and/or drivers ability?? Not take a gamble on what car to use even though certain people at the start of the season (testers) know which cars are going to be way ahead of the rest (honda) ? .

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
May I point out also I drive the Toyota and yes it is only 3 rounds in but it's clear to see the Honda either needs restrictions or the bmw and the others need a pi increase to level the field .....that's clear without more "testing"

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
Staff are aware of drivers concerns with the BMW, we would like to ask that the community doesn't argue about who is quicker than who, it doesn't help anyone and causes anger + can be distressing to some members.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
To help the staff with their balancing investigations, I thought it would be helpful if one of the top Civic runners tested the car too so you have some real hard evidence to make any adjustments you feel are necessary.
After 7 laps tuning, I ran a 1:24.920 in the 747 PI BMW (that time would have been quick enough for 2nd place on the grid in A lobby) - this was with simulation damage, as per the normal lobby settings. There's a couple of tenths left in the tuning (diff and gears need a little more work), so I reckon a 1.24.7 would be achievable. Here's a live recording of the lap and post race screen so you can see what gears and corner speeds are attainable in this car.
I'm happy to share the tune on Forza if anyone wants to try it out for themselves - you do need to use some advanced driving techniques, keeping the car in high revs through fast corners to stabilise the rear end, short shifting to stop the rear wheels spinning in some corners and trail braking into the apexes.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
I Think (Whether you listen or not) that racers shouldn't be trying to get one over one another on a car, whether its CQR or Samsung Racing or any team for that matter, I get the fact that CQR are more than likely some of the best TCC drivers on the grid, however many of us wish we had the skill and all that to be able to tune, drive or perform as well as you guys. BUT I think any parties involving the BMW getting upgrades should be left whether your trying to help or just giving your opinion. We should let the STAFF look into the cars and BOP the cars and see what happens in the rounds to come. SO please can you stop trying to prove stuff against one another
Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
as soon as the tire widths are added i can bet a year of my wages that magic would go at least .5 seconds quicker its been proven already by the test drivers which is why the build got changed.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
err that lap clears up nothing! 1) it proves that you do not care about track limits. 2)that was one lap a single lap proves nothing.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
What do you mean a single lap proves nothing? It clearly proves the pace of the car. qualifying is all about a single lap, but I guess it just means nothing too🤔

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
But qualifying doesn't win you a race, you can be quick over a single lap but if the car or you cannot hold the consistency, that single lap becomes obsolete.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
So what's the discussion over? The BMW not being fast, or not being easy enough to drive?
Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
Drivability was sorted before the season started, yet despite this it lacks the speed of its competitors.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
Complaints were being made over the BMW's 'fast pace' before the season, yet apart from one race it was trumped every time on media day.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
It may have been sorted before the season but was then changed just before it started which in many people's opinion made it non competitive also the #2 honda should have been restricted as this is now one of the most dominant cars in the championship and makes me think it's not a level playing field as even with a decent tune the Honda is streets ahead of other cars like the Toyota for example

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
It's always like this when people aren't as quick as the front runners or as quick as they'd like to be. It just turns into the car too slow never themselves and when someone proves them wrong their still in denial.

Re: WIX Racing TCC - Build Rules
All the cars in the series could quite easily get a podium, The BMW is obviously harder to drive and stick a few tyre widths on it then it would trounce the field. Toyota a good all rounder. Audi quick enough for pole at both Lime rock and road Atlanta. Merc is a beast and would have been the car i would have chosen only i cant tune so i went with what i knew i would get a tune for. On another day Haydie could have won last night, he was a little unlucky. Honda, probably the easier car to drive and there are a lot of people running it so it seems really good. Can we all stop moaning and just do what we come here for? Race?
